It'd done to grab a few quid from gambling ads and it's open to comments.

I'd be very surprised if it doesn't break copyright laws heisting whole pages intact like that from MSE.
Using personal images from here definitely is breach of copyright, my ava for example. Any image you create is yours and requires permission to use.
All the MSE images are illegal. I doubt Martin gave permission for his to be on there.

They have litterally copied every single comp on here, word for word! Surely that can't be legit if they're getting some sort of payment out of it? I mean yeah, post comps if they want but they could have at least changed their wording and not link it back to here!

Remember that there are thousands of posts on this forum that lift and copy/ paste here entire pages of texts inc terms and conditions and whole comp texts without sites permissions. Also images are sometimes used although not often. As horrible as it is and I agree with folks on that. You can't scream how terrible on one hand and do it here on the other. Nobody on this forum has ownership of any comps posted here.

That aside to keep in posters names etc is a bit OTT.

i agree ^ i thought it was a rule of mse that we are not supposed to lift and paste text verbatim but it happens. i dont know if anything's been said about it recently but there are some comp posters who post a huge mass of terms and conditions, sometimes completely irrelevant parts.

p.s serenity i know you are talking about online bullies but i think your sig goes a bit far imo.

Re the rest I agree with you about the huge amount now of masses of terms and conditions text. Have no idea why thats done. After all we're all adults and perfectly capable of reading the terms on the comp site once the comp and link given.

Absolutely hun that is very very cheeky to keep the same wording and even have posters names. That is out of order and entirely different from simply posting some comps.

That said I have to go and stick my head out of the window. I feel a hot flush that is absolutely nothing to do with my age coming on. Is like being in Barbados.

I think that the posting of terms and conditions on here started after some compers were messed about by site owners and offered different or lesser prizes than they had actually won. The competition's t&cs had often disappeared from the site by then. Being able to refer to the t&cs helps in negotiations with site owners and when making complaints to the IPM.
