I'm looking to buy a new car on finance.
I am looking for an ibiza ecomotive, vauxhall Astra/corsa, ford focus or Volkswagen golf!
I just wanted some other people's experience about deals they've had on the above.
I've spoken to vauxhall and this is the 'best' they can do on 0% finance:
Corsa £1000 deposit £179 a month for 60 months
Astra £1000 deposit £202 a month for 60 months
If anyone's had a deal please let me know!!

I hope you don't mind me saying but this really isn't the right way to go about choosing a car to buy. A new car is a major expense - trying to pick one based on numbers on a page makes no sense at all.
What size car do you want? A Corsa is smaller than the other options you mentioned.
Do you want a petrol or a diesel? The Ibiza Ecomotive you mention is a diesel, are the Vauxhall examples?
You'll get better deals with a larger deposit if you can afford one?
Do you have a car at the moment? If so, what is it and why do you want to replace it? What are you looking for in your new car that is different/better?0 -

Best deal I can suggest is not to buy a new car at all!
I bought my 2 3/4 year old car just over a year ago, its value has dropped by about £100.
I'd get a good return on it if I sold or p/x it. Plus I had the benefit of having the engine already broken in and any faults sorted for me in advance (as I did properly check the car and its history before buying)
The only downside was the used car smell but the cost of a bottle of febreeze is much less steep than the price difference of buying a new car.
I could never justify to myself or anyone else why paying thousands of pounds, just to be able to say I was the first in it and marvel at its shininess, on a new car was the best investment I could make with that money...and I LOVE cars!
Unfortunately other priorities take precedence.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)
Savings target June 18 - £22,281.99 / £25,0000 -

No defo not I really want opinions! Yes they are. I had a company car and I'm starting a new job hence why I need a new car. I have around £3700 saved up, I could borrow £2000 from family interest free, my new job will give me an extra £250 a month.
I would go for a second hand focus but they seem pretty juicy and i have to travel a 60 mile round trip so I'm looking for something economical.
I know I could buy a car outright but it would be a few years old and I'm worried about it going wrong and then the extra expense.
Do I get a loan and get a nearly new car would that make more sense?
Thanks for all your replies x0 -
I quite like golfs aswell. They seem to hold their value better but I could afford a new one ( wouldn't want to commit to more than £200 a month).0

Very, very, very unlikely.
I guess you are probably looking at what franchised dealers are ASKING or something? There are few new-ish cars that only drop £100 per year. And that my son, is how to waft a towel!0
