Hi All. I had an email last night from her to "clear this up" I sent a less than charming email back to clear up exactly what I thought.

Today I got a reply basically saying that the prize is gone, nothing she can do,so if some one contacts her in regards to me reporting her then she will deal with it.

I sent her an email back saying I hope her blog gets the reputation it deserves (which is not a good one) !

Send her a link to this thread so she can see what people think of her blog/attitude? or maybe she has already read it?

Absolutely disgusting behaviour from a silly wee lassie with obviously few brain cells. Bad publicity will mean less freebies for her from companies so all she's harming in the long run is herself. Obvious remedy would be to apologise to the OP and send her a prize of greater value (for the distress she's caused and her being a prize idiot..not the OP in case of misreading!!) then put something on her blog / Facebook / twitter admitting SHE made a mistake but has taken steps to remedy it.

If she doesn't then her chances of gaining employment in PR are about as good as my chance of winning an ITV competition...:rotfl:
  • so basically she is going to get away with it? i dont know how a blog page works cause i dont have a blog but did she have to delete the page to get rid of the comments made by us? or could she have just deleted single posts? like if some one put a post on every one of her pages about this on her blog would she be able to delete each post separately or would she have to delete full pages to get rid of the post on her blog? I honestly do not know how she can do this to someone it just so awful, i really feel sorry for the poor lass who should have actually won.
Why is there always to much month left at the end of the money

    What was the prize, anyway?

If she recognised that this was her fault, why on earth did she not just give the prize to the winner?

    Doh!

  • She sounds like she has a massive chip on her shoulder. It isnt even like the prize has a massive value..so she should have honoured it. Good for you OP on complaining!
There are way too many blogs around that are run by people incapable of running them. Fingers crossed something better will come your way!

You can delete individual posts on a blog.

I am a blogger but I can't believe the attitude that some other bloggers have. I was in the middle of entering a comp a few days ago when I noticed the blogger had written that she'd be checking entrants twitter accounts to make sure none were 'compers'. I deleted my entry. There is no need for that sort of attitude.

Can I also add that most bloggers aren't like this and are more than happy when their comp is listed on MSE.
:AThanks to all those who post comps:A

    Well done you.

They didn't want the sort of people who enter competitions to enter their competition?

    Idiots.

We still spend the same time entering a competition as someone else does. Just cos we enter lots in a day/week, I really don't see why they should want it to go to someone who enters less. Not like we make a living out of it or cheat in any way! Okay, some use roboform and the like, but they provide form fillers on Chrome now, so no biggie.

Anyway, thinking of you, OP - keep us updated!
