  • Busy day here again need to be up at the garden for 12. Didn't get home until 2.30 this morning from babysitting but Miss Eva was a wee diamond, no crying or nothing.

Plan is garden then home to fly and pack up for beach house, I would like to be leaving early tomorrow morning but we'll see how we go.

Next week i'm doing nothing but phone calls, need the week at home to be honest. Back garden needs to be sorted before school starts and polytunnel is over run with weeds. Need to get back to finishing the kitchen too and get the units for livingroom and bathroom.

Right better get kids up and out, OH can come too. :rotfl:
Hopefully i'll have a flying update later.

Trotting from room to room carrying stuff again. This will be an all day job, I think, interspersed with nibbling away at the heaps that have been dealt with and restacked for rehoming. There's just so much. I'm also trying to capture all the thoughts about how to make it simpler and easier for next time around. The chaps are aiming for the same again in June next year and I'd like to plug some of the obvious holes in the 'behind the scenes' work so it isn't so exhausting.

Yesterday's laundry is being zipped through the TD so I can have more space on the lines. I've got another load of white from the flat to do, then three loads of our personal laundry and the three beds in the cottage to tackle after that. We just don't have enough line space and although it's sunny and hot, there is not a breath of wind, so nothing's drying really quickly.

The three biggest roasting pans soaked overnight in the bath in biological laundry liquid (thanks for that tip Pigpen) and have come up a treat after being scrubbed with a bri11o pad. All of the nails on my right hand have split and cracked from the constant washing up from the last four weeks, so I've started wearing rubber gloves. I really, really hate them.
    Better is good enough.
  • Good morning :D

Had a good day in London yesterday. Went to the Science Museum & popped in the V&A as well (queue too long at the Natural History Museum). Would like to have seen the Bowie Exhibition & London Fashion through the 80's, but they wanted money (which we don't have) Oh well, we saw lots anyway.

I have cleaned the downstairs toilet & basin, 1 load in WM. Last ebay parcel is ready to go - DH will take that to the PO later.
I am now concentrating on some work paperwork :( It is never ending!

DH has his counselling today. Apparently she has extended his time, so they can make progress. It is under the NHS, so availability is limited.
  • Morning x
I'm up and about just! Decided that I'm clearing the LR and scullery today even if that means nothing else gets done! DS2 is still in his pit and DD is away out to play so I'd better make a start and see if I can have it finished by the time I need to leave for the dentist.
HHC starting at 11.30 if anyone wants to keep me company?
