have hacked too much off the jasmine, i planted it in the wrong place and its now been hacked back to a stump. garden looks much bigger and better for it BUT i've created about 4 more bags of clippings so im having to put a bit in all the bags on the front and hope they arent too heavy for the council to take. i can carry them through to the front but that doesnt mean the bin men wont refuse to put them in the cart. Last time they refused mine for being too heavy i offered to lift them in but was refused on grounds of health and safety. Funnily enough one of them managed to lift them after that. LOL

washing now out and drying, got to bung another load in once ive scouted round and made sure everything in to make a full(ish) load.

Pigpen i hope the baby arrives soon you sound as if youve had more than enough. cant your OH tell his mother to either sling her hook or try being helpful and nice for a change.

CY glad youve heard from her all all is good.

The baby is arriving soon.. this week! IF I can sort someone to have the geeks.. I had everything set for next week but babies like to make their own plans.. you get everything in place and they change everything.

My kitchen is now filled with sand thanks to 2 naughty little girls that OH was 'watching' .. The bathroom and loo are looking very beautiful for the first time in weeks. I washed the walls on the stairs and the handrail cos it was sticky.. then the dado which was dusty.. and then the 2000 spindles on the stairs. ALL the upstairs doors and grotty bits on the walls and the light switches.

Off to sweep the kitchen and empty the worktop and grillpan of sand!!

Oh.. my laptop got wiped and some new clothes were stashed in their correct places.

DD2 is being kicked to vacuum the landing and stairs and through downstairs I think.. OH is off to Dogtanian class later.. he def. won't be going next week!!.. so I will allow this concession... but that means I must go do food now.

DS2 and I have been working on the BBQ area and are nearly done. Just need to cut the membrane and go and buy some shingle, just price checking where is cheapest. Could leave it until I go to S'nage on Friday or take stuff to scrap store tomorrow and do it the (I love combining journeys especially if I need to take the big car). Oh I'll need to get a gas canister too and Birthday cards - can do that Friday with boys after dentist.

got some shredding to do then attic - never did get my mid afternoon shower so ill have one before tea now.

  • Yay to reappearing puddy cats! What a relief for you xx

Back from the beach and pottered about since. Front garden has had a few weeds pulled up and the back garden has been raked. Made dental appts for the kids - end October  Decluttered a cuppa. The sun is pouring in through the study window straight into my eyes (no blinds) and I can hardly see to type. Will take Electricity paperwork into my bedroom and try and work out how much the Farmer owes me for the last 18 months - I hate this job with a passion, hence it has been 18 months since I last did it.

Just popping in to say ... DD1... left York at 10.01 and had made it to the youth hostel by 1pm! She even managed to come out of the correct exit at Oxford circus - which is no mean feat. She assures me she can see M&S from her window, so I know she won't starve.

I have been on tenterhooks all day (and she was in my bed before 6.30am) and I feel I may just be able to relax a bit! I shall finish off the washing up, hang out some washing and have a cuppa!

Delighted to hear that she has made it safely all the way, CY

Pigpen, I hope your babe does as it's told and makes an appearance very soon.

    Well flown, Fizzwizz :T

The kitchen cabinets have their doors on, the oven, hob and F/F are wired in :):):) but the dishwasher turned out to be too deep to fit flush with the cabinets  - don't know why the manufacturers have been getting the dimensions wrong for standard UK kitchens! Anyway, those nice people from @ppli@nces0nline are taking back the useless DW and delivering me a different model tomorrow.

The builder who is doing work in every room except the kitchen called round this afternoon. He was almightily impressed with the way I have cleared the bathroom and cleaned down the walls ready for the plasterer to come on Friday. (Of course, it's really only specialised flying in an empty room :rotfl:) I said to him, "I've been working very hard, and I'm filthy." He said, "I had noticed!"

DH is feeling almost his normal self and has taken a load to the tip, so I shall take the opportunity to go and have a shower and get rid of all this dust out of my hair :D
