Does anyone know where we stand on returning faulty goods for replacement? I have a 10 month old Ultrasonex toothbrush which refuses to charge (2 year guarantee). Can I still take it to Index for a replacement or are they no longer taking returns?

Ultrasonex don't seem to have a website so I don't know how to contact them to return it...

and also with incorrect misleading advertising on websites and also the printed brochures they distribute. takes 5 minutes to complain and ASA have to look into it and write back to you within a week or so.

PS Argos have a keyboard and mouse for £30 currently reduced from £70 but they dont mention they sold it for £25 (not a sale price) in January and February when I bought mine. Very sharp selling tactics.

However the most the ASA will do is censure the company and tell them not to do it again - not much of a threat to a company that's closing down!!

I went into a different Index today, out of town. It had huge posters in the window saying 'closing down, everything must go'. And then inside everything had 10% off..... WOW - HOLD ME BACK!

i went into barrow one today and it had 30% off rings so some peeps may find a bargain.:money:

i got a 20 charm charm bracelet there today reduced from 160 to 127 quid (20 per cent off) which i thought was q reasonable considering it was a half oz one so i was very happy with that(was lucky too as last one in store):j

Canon digital EOS 350D seems amazingly priced - can't see anywhere that comes close - but personally would prefer to buy it from Dixons using the 110% price promise and save even more - plus you get the peace of mind that Dixons isn't about to close down. I almost did it but the wife wouldn't give me the requist permission. So hope someone else enjoys this offer.
