I did read the full thread though, and I can't think of anyone that has a smartphone that would be silly enough to spend £30 a month paying for data by the day rather than just getting an o2 payg tariff that includes it for half the price.

Even their £15 Blackberry specific tariff includes 500mb a month without needing a bolt on
but having a BB with Data usage does not allow you the full BB benefits like BBM.

My o2 tariff is Family favourites and does not come with data usage as i dont use my phone for general internet usage. I have the BB services bolt on which allow me access to BBM and also allows unlimited data usages on BB smartphones.
if i am out away from PC i have my PB and BB so the bolt on allows me access to get any emails.
  • I guess my ipad2's main function is a very expensive web-browser in bed/on the couch

The kids love the games on it. In it's rubber case, it's virtually indestructible (it's now 2 years old with no scratches).

When we're on holiday, it's great. Instant start, long battery life, light and small.

I plug My ipad into my plasma and to my projector, all done with a lead costing a £5.

wicked. I made an slide-projector into a very high def TV projector the other day.

You get the lcd screen from a digital camera and put it in front of the projection bulb.

great quality, you'll find the details on the web somewhere (basically you could use an lcd from a camera in front of any sufficient bulb you get second hand).

final cost was like £10. But I still prefer my 40" :D

Its not as this would not work on the tariff when i got my BB, i checked with o2 at the time and with BB and had to subscribe to BB services to get these features.

And how many years ago was this? It says right on the O2 website that it includes BBM

    Text & Web BlackBerry

Use BBM, send 500 texts and browse away for a monthly top up of £15

On BlackBerry Text & Web, you can use BBM, send 500 texts and browse away, from £15 a month.

Our £15 tariff comes with 500MB of web browsing, which is enough for half a million emails, 5,000 web page views and 60 short YouTube videos. You get other good things too, like 500 texts and unlimited mail and BBM. And if you top up £30 or more, we’ll swap those 500 texts for unlimited texts.

How about you learn how to read because I wasn't talking about your tariff to begin with

    me:

    you replied with this
but having a BB with Data usage does not allow you the full BB benefits like BBM.

which is wrong and obviously isn't even about your family favourites tariff in the first place since you mentioned "BB with data usage" which you don't have as per your own statement.

yes, talking about their blackberry specific tariff which you don't have, that includes data that you don't have that you tried to say doesn't include BBM which it does.

I do agree about not taking the thread further off course however, so back to why people buy tablets.
