Clothes should be to enhance your appearance!!!

Attractive is different things to different people, within received social norms. what you said about the boots is not attractive to everyone, as you see, not everyone finds them attractive.

All sheepskin boots (there are lots of different makes including Emu, Kiwi, Celtic) are supposed to keep your feet warm in winter and cool in summer.

    From one website:

I don't wear mine in summer, but they certainly keep my feet warm in winter.

    Thanks for that.
Honestly though, as I said, it's not just that as I don't really like them either.
My hand-knitted socks do the job needed quite well.
    Each to their own though.
From the amount of folk I see wearing them I am sure that Ugg get plenty of cash and don't need any more promotion (or are a lot of them Fuggs? - Fake Uggs).

I wear hand knitted socks with my shoes and boots, they keep my feet warm and toasty, sadly I am also afflicted with iceberg feet ;).

I also have hand knitted socks, and those sort of thermal loop socks ( which are superb, but very thick) and I often wear two pairs of socks...thin cashmere or cheapies , thicker wool, or other knee lengths, under my outdoor wear.

In the recent heat wave I was asking DH we'd my skiing socks were:o I'm a veritable freak at times.

On another note, how do people feel about hair colour?
I am 38 (just lol) and have brown with a teeny bit of grey, and feel like it is now or never for some more bold colour. Currently am brown with a hint of purple, short but growing it out, and would love to do something a bit bolder...........mutton as lamb?

I wear them for walking the dogs as well and have been known to wear them into the supermarket if I'm dropping in on the way back.

I went to the shop in mine yesterday. They're not even real crocs, they're foamy ones with a nasty fake butterfly on them. They cost a fiver at the seaside last year. Even I think they're ugly, but they're so comfortable!

My 8 year old was so gutted when his seaside fakes broke that I let him choose some proper ones ... they're bright green, really hideous :D

    Me too.

I have 2 ankle length Planet cardigans - black and dusky pink - that I wear in Spring/Autumn when it's too warm for big coats.

I also have lots of the fine knit cardis that are just above waist level that look good with maxi dresses (at least I think they look good :D).

    No gasps from me.

I'm a big fan of Uggs too, although I like the ones that have more support like the Kensington style.

My favourites are Caspia, which are just above the ankle, really comfy.

I love fine knit cardis too and wear them above the waist with maxis and slightly longer with shorter dresses.

I find, quite often, that hideous to me, is desirable to my 6 yr old DS, lol! ;)

I don't like the ordinary uggs, but those look nice. They're not much different to the clarks ankle boots that I wear.

Attractive is different things to different people, within received social norms. what you said about the boots is not attractive to everyone, as you see, not everyone finds them attractive.

I don't like those boots and I wouldn't wear them, Im over a size 12 btw but that's not why I wouldn't wear them, I think they look horrible

Also, why size 12 and not size 14 or 16? No two people who fit into a size 12 piece of clothing will look the same anyway and sizes vary from shop to shop.

I actually think on looking at someone in the street Id find it easier to tell if someone was a 10 or a 14, 12 isn't really an average size.

There are also people who are in between sizes and would be better wearing jeans that were an 11 or a 13, but you rarely get these.

Someone turned up to one of my zumba classes wearing UGGS but that's another story.
