When decorators kid was here the other day we got the Christmas decorations out.
Ou r tree is usually gold with some hints of colour. In the kitchen we have some re lights and nutcrackers.
What do other nice people have for decoration? And is it what they would want if they were choosing now? What's the favorite colour / theme of nps' christmas trees?0 -

I'd have a green tree with lights .. baubles... some nice small snowmen would be nice... and chocolate shapes..... and round the base tinsel and chocolate coins... and a couple of satsumas.... and 6 walnuts.0 -

Any colour baubles? I prefer colour themes for my taste, but I think colour jumbles look jollier and happier.0 -

She said.....its actually pretty amazing what your body is doing and I cried.
<hugs> Glad she was nice ... useless and unkind would have been worse.Doozergirl wrote: »Me too. I start wearing a hat quite early in the season. When we hit proper winter, I have a couple of fleecy ski headband/ear cover things which I wear under my hat as my ears still get cold and painful. They're a godsend.
Fleece is definitely the best for ears. I have a fleece hat, and also a fleece scarf that I can wear with the hat (when I have the hat) or over the top of my head (when I have lost/forgotten the hat).lostinrates wrote: »When decorators kid was here the other day we got the Christmas decorations out.

We will be having the same crazy set-up we've had each year since LNE died - a real tree (as we've always had at my house) and his fake tree (to remember Christmases with Dad) side by side with the lights and tinsel etc strung across between them. There will be no colour scheme. DD will be in charge and will put on as many baubles and assorted hanging objects as she can find. I don't let myself wish for a tasteful tree - I am paying it forwards because when I was the little girl, my family let me cover the tree in excessive quantities of ill-assorted decorations, and I loved it.
What do the NP think about artificial trees? Should they have fibre-optics so the ends of the branches glow, or should they just be tree coloured and then have lights put on extra, like a real tree does? The one I inherited from LNE is just tree coloured, but I think if I was choosing from scratch I'd probably get one with glowing branch-tips.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

I bet even if millets don't have an api their stores are probably on another database that does - yellow pages or even google maps and I bet you wouldn't have to write that much code as you can probably find and crib bits other people have done....

Our main tree is a slim black one with white led lights, a silver star, silver baubles and silver tinsel altough I think DW did also add some gold tinsel and baubles.
Mini tree by the front door has all the coloured stuff on it and is majorly overloaded as (a) it is only 3 feet tall and (b) DKs decorated itI think....0 -

Yes, we noticed that when you mentioned pulling old tights over your head to keep your ears warm.0 -
We have a small plastic tree, approx 3ft high, with red balls and silver tinsel. There will also be a wreath on the door and that's it.0
