I know. :o. Its less the yucky biological factor more the unpleasant experience tbh. I'm used to grotty realities.

Laughing at myself wanting to buy bigger clothes and a nice lunch, rather than diet :o

I can't decide whether I am being unreasonable or measured.

Parent is considering another procedure which would involve someone staying with her at least overnight and she would prefer for longer.

This has happened twice before and each time I have ridden to the rescue. As it happens OH was abroad both times. Last time there was a scene when I left. I have now said that I can't do it again for a good few weeks. Sibling needs to pull her weight IMHO. Problem is sibling has kids in school, so she is reluctant, but her husband works from home 2 days a week so could, with a bit of effort, look after the kids. Add to this she is planning on emigrating in a few months, so will do nothing from that point and she lives nearer than me. Sibling feels I can drop everything because I don't have childcare issues and work for myself.

You are being reasonable. Where they emigrate are they planning on ' granny comes to visit' room?

Yes, SC, I think you are being reasonable, too.

The problem with working for yourself is that people think that you don't actually work. She should help as well.

But, the problem is mum expecting you to be available even from a distance? It would be easier on everyone if she were nearer to you, especially with the emigration issue? Could it be a negotiation tool, or is she looking forward to moving?

And yet when we have met I had few surprises I think. If anything you were all lovelier than I have thought.

there's always a first time for disappointment.....

You'd be welcome here. Be warned, my dogs were mellow yesterday it seems because they were sickening for something. I awoke to a sea of diarreoah. I can opt imagine my house will ever smell ok again.

Fortunately yesterday before I put my woolly hat on my head, I realised one of the mutts had thrown up in it. People who don't have dogs now must be intending to stay dogless.

Spirit, I'd do a bit of work to feel virtuous and then chill this afternoon because you've earned it!

Sequins, thought never occurred to me that there might be an inappropriate time to wear them;)

I'm really restless waiting to find out what's going on with New Job. Hoping to find out about second interview tomorrow.

Thnaks for the first piece of info, gen:rotfl:. I think people like lir and myself are probably immune now:o.

Fingers still crossed for the job.

SC, no not at all unreasonable. We all have difficult circumstances one way or another, all things are possible and your sister needs to spend a bit more time and do her 'bit' while she can.

GDB, I'm struggling to think what on earth could include the Marshall Islands?

Probably not hard in my case; I probably 'read' like a bit of a strange loon some of the time :)

I think that confidence comes with me carrying out the role I am there to fulfil.
All my confidence has been in the workplace; I know what I know and I know I'm right/justified ... and have ticked all the boxes correctly.

It's getting into the job where I fail in confidence.
