I've not been yet. I'm still in denial.
  • You can see why I am loathe to bother with anything now can't you.

Did you also know that women over 50 who haven't worked for 1 year, are more likely to die than get another job?

I'll just sit and watch Jeremy Kyle from now on.

You'll feel as if you've died, watching that.

My Dad can be remarkably annoying when boasting about his discount on the high-speed train from Ashford to London, because of his old age railcard.

I don't think there are any particular benefits that kick in at 50. Some SAGA hols or policies I think. Maybe certain sheltered flats. Nothing that leaps out as useful/ valuable.

Discount cards for rocking chairs, cheap containers for dentures, support hose for the veins and flat caps to wear when going to the greyound races. Probably.

Jeremy Kyle show lets you see where people end up when they acquire the wrong ratio of tattoos to teeth. Some good faces for radio on there.

Jeez, my mother doesn't think she is old enough for sheltered housing!

Indeed. For me it shows that hell is an experience, not a place you go to.
