On the cyclists debate, a discussion has been kick started on another forum I use based on this video:
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

Very true. For a start I've never fallen over the handlebars of a bus!
But then again they're full of horrid people that cough and sneeze and that don't stand up for me.
And if I get the bus I have to pay for the bus journey and then a gym or some similar horror on top. I have a very nice bike that is a couple of years old that cost 12 months gym membership.0 -

It's why you should rarely (if ever) sit at a red light in front of a lorry or a bus. Much better to jump the light than be crushed.
I'd pay $98 rather than die. That's the fine for a bike jumping a red light in NSW.0 -

I cannot really push the double entendre further to counter these points within the bounds of the nice people thread but your last line means mrs Gen better have a big sense of humour or that yours has missed!:rotfl:0 -

I always ensue that Mrs Generali has been ridden appropriately to make for an even spread of mileage.0 -

I've planned poorly and I have only two little lines of petrol left (two lines of petrol doesn't sound fun ).
I have to go to the furthest away farm supplies, but don't pass a petrol station.
I don't know whether to risk it or not. Or whether to take the dogs or not. If I take the dogs the weight of the car is increased so the petrol use is greater, especially as the route out is significantly uphill.
I'm gonna have to detour for fuel, aren't I?0 -
In our car first the light comes on then about 50-80 miles later it starts beeping and displaying a message about low fuel and then you go to the garage and discover you had enough diesel left for another 40 miles anyway.I think....0

In my previous car I asumed the light came on when I had a half a gallon reserve left which was the way cars used to be decades ago. It used to get my stress levels up as inner London driving really glugs the petrol and petrol stations are few and far between ( and downright pricy the nearer you get to a posh area).
When I checked on the internet I found there were meant to be 7 litres when the petrol light came on and I could have filled up every five days instead of every four and waited till I could fill up with cheap petrol out in the 'burbs.:mad:There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
"Three women enslaved for 30 years in a London house were beaten during their ordeal, police said on Friday.
At a news conference on Friday, Commander Steve Rodhouse said the women were beaten and controlled emotionally."
Hmmm, it gets worse. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
