You kind of know there's a bit more wrong than just clearing out the garden when a house that Zoopla estimates at nearly £700k, that was last sold in 2008 for £650k is now available at auction for £65k. Either the EA did a typo, or there were multiple murders ..... http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-41770612.html

I wonder what the story is? The place has been comprehensively trashed. Look at the state of the roof. Of course, £65k is just the starting price for the auction. They may have a higher reserve that we know nothing about. But I wonder how an apparently nice house (in the historical listing) can have turned into such a disaster in so few years.

Edit - Just checked it on street view, where it looks perfectly normal. That was image date August 2012.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

That is very sweet. I hope you tell his future wife that story :)

Or all girl friends, just to limit the likliehood of a future wife usurping you as No1 woman in his life.;)

Especially if you can also chuck in the story about the buying new rather than laundering, and stockpiling a stash of grubby underpants.

That is just awful. What a terrible waste.

What madness can have gone on to bring about such wantion destruction? The poor neighbours too.

    Lol.

I'm serious, not gf but serious wife or long term partners.

Of course, I'd like DH to have a mother, but I'd also like to know those cute little stories that his father just has no interest in remembering and are now lost.....

There is lots of Betamax,...but not of moments like this. I read all dh's old school reports and looked at his pictures etc (in some ways I'm glad his mother was a hoarder) but I don't know about the silly things that he doesn't remember. I'd love to know those things. :o. A relative was the nanny for the first year, so she has lots of the memories like that for the eldest, and the eldest remembers some of the cute things of the youngest, but dh's in the middle most are lost.....:(

Maybe he was just a boring and not cure kid :rotfl:

I think the bungalow must be a typo ..... there's nothing I can think of that'd devalue any property that much. Not murders, not a gypsy feud, not a drugs factory ... nothing.

How old was he/she? Was it a sudden death, illness, or what?

Dh's mother? Sudden death, no warning. Dh's youngest sister and father found her. There is possibility incompatible medicines /treatments were being given for minor stuff ( she was also still on the pill and it was highly unlikely she needed to be). DH was in first year at university, either first term or just after Christmas, cannot remember ATM which, :o. Think might have been after Christmas.

Edit...how old, just checked her obituary...how terrible my memory is. :(. She died after a Christmas. Se was fifty five.

Perhaps it will cost 500k to remove the nasties that have been 'fly tipped' on the site?
    I think....
