Good luck spirit.

If someone were to say....collapse and in the process be knocking over their electric heater and now it doesn't work is kicking it or changing the fuse likely to help?.
(Edit...if someone were collapsing btw it wouldn't be today because they felt bad. Its because they felt exceptionally good and were dancing like a maniac with extreme vigour to kisstory pretending they were 21 and not mid thirties over weight and now very sedentary.........I was having a ball in fact...I just should have called it a day sooner. )0 -

Individually, I can handle them briefly. Small children seem to like me since I went blonde! From when I was a little girl, I wanted to own a shoe shop with a funky fitting machine and sell shoes to children.
What would you lot choose to be doing for a living if you weren't doing what you do?
Anything that didn't involve hordes of small children!
I like my job, though. I wouldn't mind doing jewellery design, I think.Justifiable whinge.
How long will he be away for Passover?
I am applying for the position of NP inattendance if the nice baby arrives early:)
They'll be away for nearly a week - going Sunday night, back Sunday morning (which is Easter Sunday) and hot-footing it down to Kent for Easter Day. I think it's most unlikely that the baby will be early - I was nearly 3 weeks late, and my mother (a second baby) was just over 3 weeks late. Isaac was only a few days late, but induced because they thought he was going to be huge (they estimated 11lb!) but he only actually weighed 8lb....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

I have had a light bulb moment: people from the Indian subcontinent, especially the fair sex, can go deolali over owning gold.
However the most important market for expensive metal could be China; do the Chinese have a particular taste for precious metal?
If so which one and why?
What is the matter with the other one?
Can one say "Chinese" or should that term be broken down to something more specific?
I don't know much about gold and silver but I do know that the Indians love regulatory intervention in their markets. They still have exchange controls on currency, quite strange stock market rules and significant import tariffs on precious metals and they are relatively aggressive about using these sort of tools to try to control consumer behaviour. Look at the share price movements in Gitanjali Gems, driven by its dealings in the gold markets. On the flip side India are actively cutting their import duties at the moment but the rationale for that is because the market is weak.
Personally I would be very wary about buying into a market on the basis of domestic demand in a country which likes to intervene directly in its markets. There is a lot of chat on the internet about pms but most based on historic success which we all know is not a great indicator of future performance. Also, there's a lot more to the precious metals market than domestic demand in Asia.
I am massively risk adverse though!0 -

Sadly I cannot think of anything. So I won't be doing anything creative then.0 -

Thankless task that would be.

One unsuitable flat we looked at. Sold as a new build in 2003 for £199,000. Sold April 2011 for £200,000. Let out and then totally refurbished by current owner, now on the market for £575,000.
Full of snazzy features like mood lighting, jaccuzzi, sauna/ shower cubicle, but 375,000 increase just on refurbishing a 2 bed flat!!!I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. When my parents bought their London house, in the first half of the 1990s, the main bathroom had peach knicker curtains, a shower cubicle, a separate loo cubicle, a sauna, and a jacuzzi.
To my certain knowledge, neither of my parents once used the jacuzzi or sauna features. In fact, my mother used the sauna to store stuff....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0
