I am being called disgusting elsewhere because I let my kids share bath water. It is what we did when I was growing up (we are talking under 8s). Is it just me being weird or do siblings generally share bath water (when they were smaller they even used to share the bath).I think....0

Mine shared a bath when they were smaller too, can't see anything wrong with it myself. For me, it was just a lot easier especially as I could keep my eye on both younger ones rather than trying to bath one while also having an ear out for the other in a different room and usually coming out to a scene of devastation!
Bugslet - how awful, how ever do you cope? Not sure I would to be honest. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

HDTV and I share baths when we can. I can assure you no happy kids sharing baths have been a fraction as disgusting a us.
Little kids who are cleaning of the normal day...not mud or filth and who are not unwell, no 'open wounds' ..seems ok to me. Went in with a variety of friends as a kid.
Edit Sorry, I don't share the bath with HDTV.....just DH!0 -

I'm not at work today, but we observe the silence at the library (yes you do get noisy libraries). It is something that is important to me to observe, my cousin's son lost his life in Afghanistan and another cousin received life changing injuries in active service.
If someone can't wait two minutes for me to observe the silence, I would be pretty annoyed, though to be fair it has always been well announced so service users knew and immaculately observed by the public, many of whom commented that they appreciated our doing it.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? On Friday night discussions wer had about the way forward with Mr Bugs. Some days he doesn't eat or drink and it's down to me to decide what happens, hospital or a managed shuffle off. Never realised that it would get to that point. I suppose if he was able he could choose to refuse food and fluids, since he isn't able, I get to think about it. I have chosen the go to hospital for intravenous fluids option; dying of dehydration does not sound pretty.
It's your decision, of course, but in my limited experience, it's not like being dehydrated and healthy.
My father-in-law, suffering from pancreatic cancer, got to a point where he couldn't swallow, but he decided (and was able to do so) that he wouldn't be rehydrated by a drip, and died 3 days later. It wasn't, for him, a nasty experience at all, and he had frequent opportunities to change his mind, and declined to do so. It was more just a fading away, not anything horrible.I am being called disgusting elsewhere because I let my kids share bath water. It is what we did when I was growing up (we are talking under 8s). Not you being weird at all - I shared a bath with my sister until I was old not to, I don't remember exactly when. I've also seen photos / heard tales of visiting my godparents and sharing a bath with my sister, and both their boys (the same age as us) when we were small. Same with my younger siblings, too....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
Thanks for that direct experience NDG. If that was Mr Bugs wish, then I'd support him, however with not knowing, I'm finding it difficult to make a decision not to send him to hospital. I don't feel he has quite got to that point yet. I'd like to think he would just go quietly, but physically he is quite healthy, so I think the decision will have to be made at some point
It's certainly harder than putting a dog down and that's hard enough.:(0
