I have a washing basket from dunelm mill (so no posh alert),
Sorry ... the posh alert bit's in the price. £12.99!
    £5s enough :)

Atually, if you're talking about proper laundry baskets I've not got one. I've got one of those plastic "buckets" with the square holes all the way round. Bought probably in the year 2000, donated to my parents in 2007 and inherited from house clearance in 2012.

I'm very tempted to stop trying to draft the whole damn skeleton, which is quite a big job, and apply instead to adjourn, and for the Defendant to pay the costs thrown away.

Presumably, the only down-side of an adjournment from your client's POV is that he wants the matter resolved. However, if, as seems likely, his case is prejudiced by it being prepared in a hurry, he would probably prefer an adjournment.

Also, if, as a result of preparing the skeleton in a tearing hurry late at night, you make a mistake, it's your neck on the block. OTOH, if you apply for an adjournment, even if your application is turned down, that makes it harder to sue you.

So, why not make the application?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

    I love that idea. :)

What I'd like is a pulley fitted above the trapdoor at the top of the back stairs so I can just wind a handle or something and haul stuff up and down that way, folded on to a surface, like a sort of big, very deep wooden tray or box I suppose. Something that took two or three loads of folded laundry would be ideal, so that I could put a days worth on there with out going up to unload each one.
Ikea bag and a length of rope round your shoulders..... drag it up the stairs :)

    iPad video yourself?

I couldn't do that. Firstly because I just physically couldn't and secondly because I get little or no warning, at least the first time, sometimes I go, then go again. :D

    Am I weird?

Strange question I know but reading threads on other parts of this site and it appears that going to bed after 11 is seen as being incredibly late and in some cases, a no no if you need to be at work in the morning.

I go to bed at around 1.30-2am during the week and am up for 7 and I don't go straight to sleep either. I don't think I have ever slept 10 hours in one go, blimey, even 7 hours would be a push, I would have to be really really ill to sleep for that long. It's not as if this is a new regime either, I have always done this, even when I had 5 part time jobs at the same time, school and exams.

How do people stay in bed that long? It's a really alien concept to me....wasting your life and the time you have to do stuff, in bed.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Sue, I don't think you are 'weird' but 'studies show' its definitely advisable to aim for between seven and eight hours sleep. No more and no less. Further more its advisable to observe a diurnal rhythm if possible, making the most of natural daylight, getting those waking hours in daylight at this time of year for example.

These factors impact on health and longevity.

Otoh, IMO there is little point counterbalancing positive benefit of this with stressing unduly about isn't and getting negative product of stress.

In my utility room for sorting, I have a motley collection of ugly plastic baskets and broken wicker ones. Upstairs on the landing I have two of these:

    images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQztPHSgVnn6bG64Gere1bG0m0tI3648UN3t9jg8lONCad5x5f-fg

One was in my bedroom when I was growing up - no idea where it came from originally, but one or other sets of grandparents, I imagine. The other one I picked up a couple of years ago when I spotted it sitting outside a junk furniture shop. They aren't perfectly the same height or colour, but they go well enough together, and look quite nice up against the wall at the top of the stairs, between the various doors off the landing.

Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

No, you're not weird. I rarely go to bed before midnight, and usually not before 1:00 or 2:00. Still, I don't have to leave for work until 8:50, so my alarm doesn't go off until 7:30, or 7:00 on Tuesdays, which is a very different prospect from those whose work entails leaving the house at 6:30 or something. My HoD has her alarm set for 5:45 in term time. I would hate that. I'm so not a morning person.

That's because you don't go to work. Just the mental processing going on all the time because you've got to get up and dress/go to work and think about work things is kn4ckering.

That needs more explaining, but then it'd be a volume.

But it's because you're not "owned" like workers are, with threats of sacking if you're late - and disapproving looks from others. And the worry of the commute/breakdowns/delays/weather ..... it all grinds you down after awhile.

I sleep a LOT more when I am working regular full-time hours than when I am free to choose my destiny, actions, etc.

Ah but it isn't as I kept the same routine when I was working.....even working 80 hours a week in a physically demanding job!

Going back to just before my breakdown, I was working almost full time hours split over an evening shift and snatched extra hours during the day/weekend when care duties allowed, sleeping for around 2 hours a night (broken sleep) and rushing around like a headless chicken...hence the breakdown.

I'm also one of the never lates, I'm very OCD about being on time, overly OCD about it, I go into major meltdown and become very distressed if I am less than 10 minutes early, so it makes no difference how bad a night I have, I HAVE to be wherever I need to be at least 10 minutes early or I it's meltdown time. For important appointments/meetings etc, I tend not to sleep for worrying about not waking up in time the following morning.

Normally I go to bed when I feel tired which might be any time between 10pm and 2am. I usually sleep for about six hours but it often takes me up to three hours to actually go to sleep which can be pretty annoying. At the weekend I usually get a couple of really good sleeps in, sometimes up to 12 hours if I'm lucky.
