    I've been Money Tipped!
He has tried various sorts of pork products, but just isn't a great fan. He'll eat them if he has to, but wouldn't ever choose to. Shellfish he just doesn't want to go anywhere near.

Ah, I see. Well, good for him! Do I recall you have an allergy anyway? Would be terrible if he discovered the sweet taste of prawn or scampi was what his life had been missing all these years and you were allergic:rotfl:

No, I'm not allergic to shellfish - or anything, luckily. But my Dad always treated eating shellfish as indulgent - similar to drinking loads of alcohol and being surprised you felt rough the next day! So I've never really had it, and don't fancy it much; too many legs and tails.
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

Ah, my memory wrong then ...not surprising :D

    Shellfish is indulgent but nice.

I still don't want prawns after the food poisoning back in march, but, as I cannot see them on any forbidden list I am thinking about oysters........

I've had bad food poisoning from them too though :rotfl: shellfish food poisoning is the worst I think. Luckily its not a given usually.:o

    No, no, no!

You have to separate your whites from your coloureds and split your coloureds into dark colours that run and those that don't. Even if you use colour catchers.

    I agree with this.
    I have 2 baskets. Whites, & non-whites.
All whites go on a wash alone.
I wash all red stuff on their own.
I seperate dark colours & light colours & wash them seperately too.

Nope, I very rarely (as in, once every year or two) eat red meat, and never eat mystery meat - so no odd mince, or burgers, or sausages.

Yay! Now I feel I belong again!:)

The trick is to not let it pile up and to remember that things not in the washing basket also need washing - like bedding and towels. So on a day when the washing basket is not crying for attention it is good to get other stuff washed. Or you reach the weekend and find a full washing basket and towels and bedding all need to be done.

Another trick I've learnt is to put a wash on first thing in the morning. That way it can be put on drying racks etc before you need to leave the house.

    Interesting.
I always put a load on immediately before bed. I think I was told once that electricity is cheaper after 10pm, & that's stuck with me...
Put it on the airer first thing in the morning.
White load every friday night, so shirts are dry for ironing sunday. Coloured load(s) as & when. Bedding will be changed as & when desired.

So does that mean if you aren't desired the bedding doesn't get changed
