Back now from watching Chris Packham and Co on Autumnwatch. I don't know his era of music, Clash, the Cure etc, to know if he dropped any song titles into the conversations though I did manage to suggest to DH that the eels were all going on a Summer Holiday.
Really pleased to see NDG posting again. I have no direct experience of that kind of thing to relate but definitely it was the right thing to do to adjourn Court hearing.
BTW, has anyone got a link to the televised Appeal Court? I looked for it today but couldn't find it anywhere on gov.uk.
The mushroom thing is intriguing, I do like them but wouldn't mind if I never ate another one.
No link to anyone Jewish nor to Herts, don't like spreadsheets though have used them and I do like mushrooms. Anything else, please ask.0 -

I would.
I am probably going to do the fodmap food plan soon and its very depressing. Particularly as loads on the allowed list I also know I cannot eat ATM or have been advised not to. :rotfl:
I think it leaves me water, fake milk, maple syrup, noodles, potatoes, sweet potatoes and celery:rotfl:0 -

. I suppose you have radios on and stuff? Have you tried the dog version of feliway ( I cannot remember name:o). Vet should also prescribe something to help. The thing is she'll remain stressed even after fireworks, if they are over a number if days she might not relax for a while....
I have googled and will purchase!
I'd like one for me too today. I don't wee on the floor, just in case anyone was wondering.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Doesn't sound very appetising at all.0

These of the conversations we have had with the experts. I know we need the hearth to be in pieces, but they keep telling me I have to have black granite pieces rather than any other colour.
I saw a slate one, the problem is any mark is going to show up and slate gets scuffed very easily.
You can get slate from these people: http://www.creativefireplaces.co.uk/catalogsearch/result/?q=slate

I love this thread. LiR inspired me to get our woodburner repaired, and I would like a slate hearth. I would like a rough hewn welsh slate (DH is half welsh).
The ones on the website reminded me of the memorial stone we have on my mum and dad's grave. I don't think I could live with it.0 -
I'm afraid I lived with a woodburner for years and would never dream of having another so am with LIR on this one.0

You're right about it marking. When we had one, I used to spary it with nice smelling oil for a shine and so it smelled nice when we were burning. I did find one in the end from a company that just does slate, but thank you :A
Don't do gas. Once you've had a real fire, they're a real let down. I'd rather compromise and have a different style.
Maybe an inset stove for something funky that no one else has? I like the 5660. It will still need a hearth - they photograph without, but building regs... You can have a hearth that isn't in pieces, I think.

Or Morso also do a freestanding woodburner that fits in the space of a modern house chimney breast. I'm struggling to find a link.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Have to say the clearview is working better now, but I wouldn't buy one my self. We'll restore that fireplace to a fireplace one day. But four open fires is enough in a house I think, one doesn't want to be tending to fires like a scullery maid more than necessary, and woodburners are at least easier to leave unattended. The clear view one day can go out in one of the other buildings I guess.0
