Perhaps ths wouldn't be the moment to admit we have in the past been known to view houses for fun/nosiness/wanting to get ideas on design and layout.
I owe someone a PM response but it is late and my PM box is full so it will wait until tomorrow - sorry.

Wouldn't it be great if you could leave comments on Rightmove about the house/details/photos etc.
Everything from "where's a piggin' floorplan you lazy oiks" through to "Could have cleaned up before you took the photos".
I was googling news earlier .... and found that 2-3 of the areas I'd been kind of looking at have massive annual problems with travellers racing around, pooing everywhere, churning up the cricket pitch, terrorising passers by etc. Nice to find out now, but it lessens the number of areas I could even look.0 -

There are certain agents who never seem to do floor plans (would put me of selling through them), and 9/10 times the place didn't live up to the photos.
PN, I think you need to get round some houses. It's not the same looking online.0 -

When we looked fro rental properties we always avoided certain agents because we knew how carp they were - you could afford to do this because there were so many properties coming to market every week.
Thankfully foxtons do not cover the area we are looking in, not do the other rubbish London chains and so far I haven't seen a moron in a shiny suit simultaneously sporting three different haircuts, or any ridiculously posh blonde girls called arabella or penelope (apologies to any NPs called penelope-arabella) who can't even work a set of house keys let alone answer any questions about the property which is a relief.
There is one agent that I won't deal with locally. I have been known to put a note through the front door of a house on the market and say we are v interested but won't deal with X; we would be interested in viewing privately or through another agent.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. The forum is doing my head in, won't let me post most of the time...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

Actually, I know a couple of agents who cover some of your area at least, and all I can say is, I'm surprised.0
