Enjoy your break GDB, even though the first few days will be spent snoozing!

Well, my timesheet says 14 hours, although I doubt I was at my best for all of that time.

We are going off to see the wedding of the daughter of some close friends in Jerusalem, plus visit family, plus staying with another friend in Ashkelon.

I thought you might be when you mentioned night flight - OH adores the night flight to Israel, and he's [STRIKE]corrupted[/STRIKE] convinced Isaac that it's great fun too. Sleeping! On a plane! All night! And not putting pyjamas on!

I'm less enamoured of the whole idea.

Hope you have a wonderful time in Israel.

On the bright side, look back 100 years ago and your great-grandparents would have been moaning: "He's only just come back from the !!!!!!!' Boar War and now there's another s0ddin' war .... "

At least your OHs aren't going into the trenches, with only an occasional written letter home.

I'm not sure my DH would have been that useful ion war tbh. :)

But you are right of course, it could be worse. He also just got a gig for tonight that he can do as he is stuck in town. A few old friends of ours should be there, and one old bore I don't mind missing :). DH should be taxiing himself right now to his last minute invite to sit in at an acclaimed venue.:D

The problem with the night flight to Israel is that it isn't long enough. 5 hours in the air overnight is too long to stay awake and too short to sleep.

I much prefer the early morning flight, leaves at 8.30am, so a very early start; lands around 3.30pm local time - so you still have half the day and better for hotel check-ins.

    Have a great time!

Haven't mentioned before but I had car trouble Monday... smoke started coming out after my AC unit failed. It is in the garage. I had a meeting this morning, so spent two hours on a bus going there only to turn up and find out it had been cancelled. Wasn't best impressed.

It's one of the hole in the back ones. It's not on the website anymore, I think was called optical or something. There was another one the same with splodges of vivid colour which was on facebook a few times but it was out of stock when I looked.

I wear it with leggings - I was worried it was a bit mutton but it's had lots of compliments from the mums. There's a market there, somewhere :)

I did get it from the website, I've followed the facebook page for an age now. So pretty, but I'd not have had the confidence to wear when I was in the right age bracket and things were a bit more taut!

That design has a lot of back history ;). Ist made in 2001 and became a signature Brighton shop best seller for a couple of years.
We have had to remove the self tie though and replace with a broader size grade and elastic fixed.....shame as the idea was a more multi fit.

Did anyone see the programme Fashionistas on C4 two weeks ago?

    http://www.channel4.com/programmes/fabulous-fashionistas/4od

May appeal to the lady NPs more, it featured 6 women between mid 60s to 90s, all of whom had a unique take ageing and looking good. It's the only programme I've watched on catch up since I gave up TV in March and this was well-worth it. I'm almost looking forward to the next few decades.

I will catch up on that when I get home as it did look interesting.

Sorry to hear about the W/E plans Lir :o
