Oh. So confusing.
I think that people create a character/persona for their online selves. Especially with things like 2nd life etc. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

But, my point is, if that is how they are projecting themselves, is that not some how themselves? I mean....I recognise that its not 'them' how we might see them, but its them how they feel they want to be seen and how they are interacting, so at some level it has to be considered in our acceptance of understanding of how hey understand themselves to be.0 -
I can't even remember what I ate as a student. I remember the wine we were drinking too much off. I also remember a phase of drinking red witches - pernod + blackcurrent + cider.
There was a craze for lager and lime in the mid 70s. When I first visited London someone went to the bar and ordered a Guinness and lime. The barman hesitated and then sked her whether she'd rather order something she might enjoy drinking!:rotfl:
Do lots of students live in flats in Edinburgh? In Manchester they all seem to find houses for 5/6/7.
Most students I know living in central Scotland lived in flats but that's far more common among non-students as well. There seems to be in some circles a stigma about houses vs flats down in SE England that there just isn't in Scotland.
A schoolfriend lived in a mansion flat in the West end and it blew me away! Look at the movie Shallow Grave to see what I mean. The ends of the flat might as well be in two different time zones. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
I like lager and lime, whether its the stuff in a pub, or sol or corona and a wedge.:o:o
Cannot imagine stout with lime. Worth it just to see what it tastes like now.0 -

Online I am a vaguely nice person sometimes whereas IRL...
Our electric fix ended this week so I have fixed both gas and electric for 2 years for only 3% more per year than the cheapest variable rate currently available - are students allowed to switch suppliers in HMOs?I think....0 -
Well, James safely delivered and we are now back home...well we got home a few hours ago actually.
Sorry we didn't pop in Michaels, by the time I saw your message, I had already had a tea and gone for a wee, plus of course, I haven't a scoobie where the blooming hell you live...
We were blown away with how helpful everyone was at the uni, parking was at a premium but if you were willing to wait, they had a small car park you could go into to literally drop and run. By dint of having my crutch with me however, they decided we didn't have to drop his stuff on the grass and skedaddle, not only that, we had an army of student reps and senior halls people unload the car, admire James' huge Titanic picture and his collection of shoes and then take the whole blooming lot to his room!
Within 20 mins of arriving at the halls, we were on our way home again, I even managed to get a cuddle from James, a miracle.
Just heard from James...he has discovered a local pub and the student union bar, I feel discovered them a little too well!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Don't watch often but I find the best bit is when people are clearly extremely disappointed about a valuation but desperately trying not to show it - there I told you I'm not really a nice person.I think....0 -
Wonder how many of the NPs might enjoy this slightly surreal little music video.
Love it
Bowie is the only artist I have connected to from the age of 9 to now.0
