Ah he did that with middle son's music teachers, he pretty much took all the credit for middle son and his music.....middle son very quickly put the teachers right about who had actually supported him in his music playing quest! We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

We are going to Bournemouth to a concert tonight. Doors open 7pm. How much extra time is needed to travel west across the new forest towards the sea side at the end of a bank holiday?
I posted the other day about the ancient mini tractor rediscovered under the nettles, well today a friend of DD has arrived to take it away to restore. He and OH are digging it out. It involves scaffolding planks and all sorts, I haven't the heart to ask them how they are going to drag it down the field as there is no easy vehicle access (unless they cut back more brambles, bridge a ditch, take down neighbours stock fencing and ask if they can have access).0 -
Would have thought the m3 westbound will be fine. Of course the m25 will be a car park between the m4 and m3 junctions.0

michaels not sure about Snow White tbh. Its a twelve...which for those that follow classification speaks for itself.
No sex at all, comparatively chaste for a film these days....(there is a honey moon scene of the wicked queen and the king but they both stay dressed and lying down then she kills him) and the wicked queen has a bath where she is undressed but nothing shows......
but murder (the wicked queen steals youth from young women, ) and its a little jumpy and creepy, but less creepy IMO than some pg fantasies.
Personally (flouting classification guidelines) I think it would depend on the kids. I didn't find it too jumpy and I do jump easily.0 -

Thanks LIR - sadly that sounds like DD1 yes, DD2 no and that split of potential viewers is not possible. Problem is that means they will want to watch Alvin and the Chipmunks again which is unfortunately at a frequency that is too low to be inaudible but much too high to be comfortable for adult ears.I think....0 -

Good luck Pastures. I know you don't think that we think that's very much money, but if you are able to devise something that at some point you can sit back and let the pennies roll in, I can assure you we are all in awe of you for doing it. I don't think there's anyone on here that wouldn't like one of those. We are secretly a little bit envious that we can't do the same. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Bl**dy 12 classification DVDs are the bane of my life. Kids of 7 or 8 go to the cinema where they are 12A and their parents go with them. Then they think they can come into the library and try to borrow them. They aren't allowed. Then they whine like crazy that their mum will let them watch it.
Problem is, library (and other staff eg in video rental places and stores) can get fired for breaking the rules on this. Classification system very strict. Plus there are so many of them... Harry Potter, Snow White and The Huntsmen, the later Transformer films to name but a few. Film makers should follow a rule - if they are planning to sell toys off the back of it - it should not be violent or sexual! (Takes a deep breath and steps back off of soapbox)
ETA: this sounds very grumpy and just wanted to make it clear it isn't aimed at any of the NPs. Rather the parents who come in and moan because their darlings haven't been able to hire a DVD and they've had to pay to park the car and use their own ticket. Plus of course the film makers. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I like twelves. I think they are a good guideline as to what I can watch and sleep alone afterwards.
The fly in my teens left me unable to sleep alone for about three weeks, I can remember my parents horror when I turned up at home and explained I'd like to sleep on the floor of their bedroom. They were not impressed. I think I am the only person I know it upset.:o
Blair witch project later had friends in pieces and didn't phase me though.0 -
Best wishes to Mrs Gen.....
Journey back home was a breeze under 2.5 hours plus 1 pee'd off mother because I left at 9am. I figured she was going to be pee'd off whatever time of the morning I left, so shortened the agony and went earlier.

Always difficult when you have to decide that elder can't do an activity because younger is too young. Elders tend to remember and remind when younger is allowed to do something that elder had to wait to do. OH and I and DS1 (obviously DS1) are elders and I think over the years that has meant the DS2 has been allowed stuff that maybe he shouldn't have been allowed just because, in sympathy with being the elder mode, we have not wanted to prevent DS1 from doing. Having nearly 4 years between them excasberates the problem.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
