Can we view houses before we're financially sorted?

Sometimes people move for stressful reasons such as family breakdown or bereavement or to be near relatives or because they have lost their job, Even without thta stress, sellers are faced with an upheaval of moving everything. Generally they have to sift through possessions and make lots of decisions over what to keep and how best to dispose. Perhaps deal with stuff left in the grown up kids bedrooms. They have tidied up and suspended their plan to touch up some paintwork. They want to have an offer agreed in the month and be gone by Christmas.
And suppose you tell them your plans to be in a position to make an offer after March 2014.
Although you are likely to get away with it, don't be surprised to end up with a black eye or a broken nose.
Please drop this plan until you are within 6 weeks of having the deposit you need.You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0 -

How about someone has just won the lottery and they are just onselling as they're now in their big house up the street and this house is now surplus to requirements.
We have no idea what situation people are in and to make someone feel bad even though they're doing the right thing by being 100% upfront and honest is not a nice thing to do.0 -
why would you want to go and view before you are in a position to buy ? I am sorry but have read your post and do not understand your reason, have you nothing better to do with your time ,
what happens if you see the perfect house, you know you can not have it , so why put yourself in that position,
ok it might still be for sale when you are ready to buy , if it is then you have lost nothing by NOT going to view before you are ready
the EA don't give a damn, about you or the seller , it looks good if they are getting people through the door regardless if its just someone's new hobby
how anyone can think its right to go looking round peoples homes with no intention to be buying is beyond me.
by all means look on the internet , save some property's in your favourites , go looking at different areas , (if you have nothing better to do with your time and plenty of money to waste in fuel )
that is up to you its your time and your money but please do not involve house sellers until you are in a position to make offers0 -

I would be 'real viewer' because we'd only view houses we would be interested in buying once we got the mortgage offer.
We've researched & picked the area we want to live & have narrowed it down to 12 potential houses. So long as we were happy with it & it was still on the market in march we'd buy it.
By putting obstacles in our way when trying to view your home you'd put us off and you wouldn't get our money.
How about working with a buyers instead of against them?0 -

Your not a cash buyer and you haven't been approved for a mortgage therefore you are not a buyer.0
