At Pizza Hut/Dominos if I want a pepperoni pizza I do a create your own with double pepperoni and extra cheese (you get 3 toppings free) as its cheaper than getting the pre-made one!:heart2:0

If you are going out for a meal at a 2 for 1 restaurant and if there is an odd number in your group, still order the 'free' dish.
It happened to me the other week. There were 4 of us, but one dropped out. We ordered a another steak and shared the dish between us.0 -

E.g. if one person wants steak (£10) and the other two people both want scampi (£6 each) you would pay for one steak and one scampi and get one free scampi - you would pay £16. You may think that if you order another steak in the "2 for 1" deal you'd get it free - i.e. you'd pay £10 for two steaks and £6 for two scampis - but you don't. You'd pay for the two steaks and get the two scampis free - so your "free" steak costs you £4.0 -

No we all had dishes that cost the same. Two had steak and the other had a salmon fillet.0 -

Might be better to ask for two separate bills in this situation, and arrange the dishes suitably to maximise the saving.0 -

doesn't always work...
several of the pubs near us that do this offer actually have on the menu and posters "*2 for 1 - *when two people eat..."
we tried it once when only 3 of us and when they brought the cutlery she asked where the 4th person was, we said not here yet, and she still only left 3 cutlery, when she brought the food she again asked and we said oh they in toilet, she came back about five mins later and plainly said "there are only 3 of you aren't there??" we said yes, and she said she wasn't bringing the other meal as there has to be an even number of people...
when we went to pay they tried to charge us full price for the one meal, and we had to kick up a fuss to only pay for two meals not three..0 -
Went to McDs yesterday with DD1. We wanted a drink and fancied a snack but not a meal. She fancied a burger and I wanted fries. To buy a drink, burger and fries as a meal would have cost £4.29 we bought the burger and chips and drink separately costing just under £3. Then I bought a separate drink, so it cost less for drinks and burger and fries than the meal deal where you only get one drink.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Probably wouldn't work for Mrs I-L-M and myself. When we are going out straight from work to a meeting, we often drop into McDs for a meal each. Unless the individual items are cheaper than a 'meal deal'.
BTW Who is DD1 ?Thank you for reading this message.0
