its not as if its £1000s more, its like anything u buy, youd rather pay that little extra to go with a bigger company, i know i would anyway0

why cannot BG beat every quote ? with their buying power they pay next to nothing for the gear.
anyone can get a fixed priced repair although i have yet to find one customer that pays the £79 as advertised & instead gets put upto the 2nd or 3rd price band,
you don't need homecare as the boiler is covered by the manu & unless the rest of the heating systerm breaks it's a waste of money,
the trouble with BG engineers is they aren't all reading from the same song sheet
for example i went to a job 90 mins away from me because they had turned off the boiler because they said the gas rate didn't meet the MI, on looking at the paperwork (via email) i knew there was nothing wrong with it, so 3 hrs round trip for 10 mins work,
then on the other hand you have a WB (see pic below) that has been looked after by BG for at least the last 3 yrs & nothing noted on the paperwork, the pipe you can see through the window is the safety discharge that goes up from the prv along with the flue then just terminates straight down half way down the window,
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -

theres no way BG installed that, and i'd be shocked if no paper work was left in terms of NTCS / At risk!, put it this way if i never noted anythin down after being at that job, i'd have my !!!! in a disciplinary before i got paid end of month0
-
didn't say they installed it, but the paperwork is on top of the boiler showing their healthcare report for the last 3 yrs, last one was dated 3 months ago
btw i was only there to fix the shower, but if I had of been there for a CP12 i would have shut it off,
you aren't the first as i've seen it from other engineers (not BG) but where does the "T" come from ? it's NCS not NTCS ?I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

I'm talking about engineer 2. We asked him to re-quote for the Worcester.0 -

your independent was 2105 plus vat so £2526, not much less than BG, and with BG u get ya homecare plus its fixed price quote, i'd say it was worth the extra anyway
is it a combi boiler ur getting?
Yes. I agree that homecare isn't necessary for a new boiler.0 -
ah yes, i have already made some comments on there,
my choice out of those would either be one of the last two on BG quote or the vailliant on the independant, you can't compair the intergas one as it needed to be the next size up, personally I would avoid WB (don't believe the hype)I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
