Ohhhhhh I have my first paying customer for my new sideline business

I'm working on the website over the weekend and will start promoting that too. I have the FB page up and running and closing on 100 likes!
My first payment will cover the expenses I have had so far so I am chuffed!
Now I need to figure out wordpress as it keeps adding things I don't want - I want a website plus a blog, not just a blog and I don't get how I can call it websitename.com/blog or /contactus etc etc - all learning though.Debt - CCV £3792

My goodness what a night so far - DD had amazing lesson and she cantered her heart out - it was lovely to see - she had the biggest grin on her face - which considering cantering scared the life out of her a month or so ago, it's a fabulous thing! Over the moon as we've just broke through a huge confidence barrier.
Quiet night otherwise except there is a new person at the yard who has ridden for a couple of months only and now has their horse - 17h+ TB and my good god was I worried when he rode tonight. He's simply dangerous (rider).
That's given me food for thought as a livery yard owner - how would I handle that situation - he won't ask for help, dismisses anything you say so what to do?!
Still waiting the reply from first customer - I hope he's not changing his mind!Debt - CCV £3792

Morning

There were some idiots on the road this morning, I saw 2 stupid moves by drivers that could have caused serious problems - all by 7:30
Anyway, I've updated the website a bit so I was pleased that I'm making progress there even if there's still a load to do. I've had some thoughts on other versions of my service that I can sell on ebay along with more ideas for the website packages.
Plenty to be getting on with so that helps me tick over and keep smiling.
I'm going to turn the pony out at lunch time as weaning him back into his stable now in prep for winter as we don't get winter turn out at our yard. Probably come Bonfire Night we won't be back out again and to go from being out full time to in full time will be a shock to the system and he'll be a little monster to ride.
I'll try the big girl in the morning to see if the box rest helped at all - she doesn't bother if she's in or out so that's good. If she's still lame then it'll be a vet visit later next week after some alphabute for a few days. Thinking worst case scenario I just don't know what to do. I won't sell her but I want a horse I can ride and do small local competitions on. I can't afford to keep her, the pony and get another one, nor do I have the time. We're not ready to have our own place yet so that's out the window. She's 15 so I don't want her out over the winter (TB x and feels the cold more than her cobby friends) plus with the operation she has had she's more at risk to infection and needs regular hoof care.Debt - CCV £3792

Where's the lameness stemming from? If it's foot or ligaments or in that area, you might find this interesting: http://www.rockleyfarm.co.uk/0

Hi Caz
She's been denerved and I think she's over compensating for it. After 48 hours box rest she was sound on Saturday (well as sound as she can get now) however then on Sunday she was dog lame again. I think it the other front leg now though. The MRI said that this leg was also not 100% and that she's probably need denerving on that side too but they said we'd have 18 months or so yet.
To be honest, I'm at a loss. I just think we're not pushing her to be sound when her body is telling me it's wanting to slow down the pace. The MRI determined navicular in front left hence denerving btw.
I don't know whether to turn her out, keep her in, retire her fully (costs me a small fortune where I am for all their facilities and DD has lessons, pony and lots of friends there, fabulous yard so I don't want to move til we get our own) - I will get the vet out but they will give her bute, rest, nerve blocks and they say we need further MRI or such. I just think what's the point as I can do what they will suggest myself and I don't want to put her through the mill again.......
Also the dog's eaten a chicken carcuss and now I'm worried sick about him. He's done things like this before and has been find - he is sooo greedy it's unreal (knocked bin over and took all contents out). So he may need a trip to vets too if he doesn't go to loo.
On a different note, we're away 1 week on Sat
and I can't wait. I hope everything is sorted before I go so I can go away with a clear mind. Debt - CCV £3792

If it was navicular then Rockley is definitely worth a look, that's one of the conditions they've got a good track record of success with.
Hope the dog's OK.0 -
