  • Don't feel guilty :) Mine are out 24/7 with free access to field shelters and even when it's pouring (like it was yesterday) they choose to be out rather than in, even if there's hay inside. It's got to be a) heavy rain AND strong wind and b) close to feeding time for them to take themselves in over summer.

I feel loads better now you have said that, thank you :) I was up during the night feeling bad for the little man. He's a hardy little welsh sec A but still my baby! (Well, my kids baby!)

We don't have winter turn out unfortunately so I prefer them to be out all the time in the summer as come winter I know people regret it (my 1st proper winter here).

At least the rain's stopped however I've hung the clothes inside as I don't trust it not to rain again!

The blue skies are returning so little un will dry out nicely. Big girl is dry but not happy inside. Another week and she can go in the paddock for a stretch. Hoping she is good and doesn't tank off!!

Money wise I'm almost spent up for my grocery budget and I thought I was doing so well too!!!! Not pleased with myself. I seem to be spending £30 to £40 every time I go which is twice a week. I need to make this once a week to fit my budget.

I was also thinking should I start making some casserole/stew type dishes to freeze for winter or do I just cook what we need when we need it? I used to freeze all sorts but now we're healthy eating I have an empty freezer!

I'm going to get some paint tested pots / swatches today so we can finally crack on with the half done hall way. It's going to be a big job but it can't stay as it is. Even if we can't furnish it, it can be tidied up, painted and a new carpet down.

I'm going to put a new total up as I can't think what's been paid since I started my diary. Off to check accounts.

I have already started a 5 year plan which is as follows:

3 years to clear Student Loan of £4046.05 (now 3927.79) last payment Feb 2016

up to 4 years to clear CC of £8480.05 (now 8330.05) hoping to make last payment Nov 2016

5 years for loan apx 15604 (same) left last payment due March 2018

up to 5 years to clear other CC of £5354.06 (now 5301.06) hoping to make last payment Sept 2017

up to 5 years to clear final CC of £4120 (same as only just transferred) hoping to make last payment Feb 2017.

Right so now my total is £37284.78 which includes my student loan (never used to include that before) and I'm still overdrawn due to unforseen costs but I'm not inluding that at the moment.

    Hi DF,

I would deffo freeze some casseroles, they are healthy and easy when you cba to cook anything.

Ive just spent days decorating my hall, stairs and landing. It is a big job but once its done you will feel so pleased with yourself. One thing you might want to look at is that endurance paint, its the washable one (seeing as though you have munchkins too) and I just pictured wotsit fingers all down the white walls .

Lol @ the wotsit fingers! Good point - the hallway has toddler/6yr old streak marks where fingers have been and been washed off. Combined with a dog!

I've checked and due to the hoover/horse extras/general things going wrong I am 573.96 OD. With a big holiday and xmas coming this isn't the best situation. However I know I am doing all I can to make the best from it so I am not worrying.
