Morning

Thank you and hi
I too hope for an uneventful recovery for her, she was a swine to box but once she did she travelled well. She's home now and is on bute twice a day for 10 days to help her through the pain.
The dressing needs to be changed on Sun so that will be interesting.
Typically I am away Mon/Tues however a very good friend is looking after them for me and I'm close enough to come back if there's an emergency.
Looking forward to going away - taking the kids "down south" to theme park so they will love it - road trip!!!!
I'll be taking my wine so I don't have to pay hotel prices for me and DH! Bring it on lol.
I best look at my finances so I know where I'm splodging.Debt - CCV £3792

I've just worked out that I have 56 more wage packets (as things stand today) to pay off my debt. Paid monthly so obviousy 56 months. That will be last payment in March 2018 according to my calcs (which could be wrong
)
That in itself is incentive to not fritter money away as I don't want it creeping past 56!
I do have some items I should sell on ebay really but need to get my head around it.
I also have some horse rugs that are too big for pony and too small for horse. I was going to keep them for when my kids grow a notch but I'm undecided.
I do need a new passport for DD to travel in Oct tho so need to get money from DH for that.
Also as soon as we're back from our holiday in Oct I will be prepping for a frugal christmas.Debt - CCV £3792

Rather annoyingly I've failed to bring lunch to work today and yesterday so I've spent £4 in total. The thing is I am full after 1/2 of my wrap and as I'm dieting and trying to stop eating when full I shouldn't have it, but then that's £1 lying there!!!! LOL!
So I will maybe take it home for a snack tonight!
I am away for a few days now with the kids so I won't be posting until Thursday.
See you soon

You could have had the other half of yesterdays wrap today...if the lettuce wasn't too soggy lol.
You'll have it paid before 56 months are up. Get the rug on ebay, my ex SIL sold all her horsey gear on ebay and made a fortune.
Happy Road Trip.

Hi debtfree2012 - another horse (and dog!) nut here :hello:
Pleased to hear your girl is home - hope she makes good progress.
I'd def get the rugs on eBay - I've sold a fair few on eBay and they've always sold well. In a lot of cases they've sold for more than I've paid new (I'm a bargain hunter when it comes to rugs lol!!!). People don't seem too bothered whether or not they've been cleaned either.
Looking forward to following your debt free journey

I sell my horsey stuff on a lot of facebook pages. Seem to do well there!
Have a good trip and glad the horse is on the mend x0 -
Hi there
Lovely to see people comments.
I'll have a look through the horsey gear to sell. I just don't want to sell it to need it if and when the kids need the next size. Hopefully I will be DF by then anyway!
I need to ebay some small things too but every little helps - only need to find the motivation now lol.
We had a LOVELY few days away - thoroughly enjoyed it and didn't spend much more than planned so I am pleased. It was so busy though so now I need a holiday to recover! And that's only from a few days!
We are going away for 2 weeks in October so looking forward to that. It's a family wedding abroad so we didn't pick dates etc . That's paid for but I need to sort out what clothes we have/need. It's 35 degrees there now so I will be in a puddle on the floor!
Until then, back to reality. I'm going to look at some survey sites and see if I can get a few pennies there. I'd like to re paint the living room before xmas too, but as cheap as poss so will start thinking how can manage that.Debt - CCV £3792

Also - the big girl is coming along nicely healing wise though her temprement doesn't do well on box rest!
Pony was so pleased to see us - he came trotting over to the gate whinnying and barged past some of the bigger ones which he'd normally scoot around. Luckily he didn't get a kick for his troubles.
Chickens doing well and producing almost 1 egg a day (someone isn't but I can't figure out who!). Pooch is fine too though as he ages he's getting more lumps and bumps poor man. He hates going to the bets but I think when I get his medication next month he will have to come with me.
Currently I have a general savings pot which I manage to put 80 a month into and then use it if extras (like dogs vet bills) come up however I think once I am DF I will have an animal savings pot as they are (potentially) such a big expense really. I already have all horsey things in the budget however there's always something extra!Debt - CCV £3792

Just been looking on the OS boards and thinking about the winter preps.
We've already bought the first lot of our coal for the year, need another couple of trips though. I think we'll try to hold off using any until after the October holiday but I think the rest of the house will have other ideas! If I work on 2 bags a week (sole source of heating all being will) for say 20 weeks (takes me to 1st week in March inc) then that's 40 bags. Need another 30!!! Oh heck.
I have no idea if 2 a week will be enough or not. Only time will tell.
The only room which won't warm up as it's on it's own over the garage is DS's (1st year in that room) so I have an oil filled radiator to use if it's too bad. Although I intend to use blankets and hot water bottles as we don't have the heating on during the night anyway.
They can get ready in the living room on really cold mornings so it's just the night times which we spend in front of the fire when in.
The tumble dryer is well and truly off and drying things is easy enough given the weather atm. I'll need to plan ahead come winter though otherwise things just won't dry when no radiators are on.Debt - CCV £3792

Right, horses are done and little un is out in the field which I now feel awful about as it's tanking it down!
I'm catching up with some work, have had shower and not taking dog for his evening work as I feel wiped out and don't want to get soaked again in this rain. He's been for a long walk this morning so has been out at least.
I've had beans on toast for tea! Haven't had that for ages and loved it.Debt - CCV £3792
