I'm not sure I am going to be able to be a serious comper at 50 a day! Lol would love to be but with a 2 year old daughter she doesn't leave me much time to myself! Do you enter them through the competitions board on mse?

Kayleigh - the trick to being a good comper, is not necessarily entering 50 a day! the minimum you need to enter is 30 a week.

unfortunately these days it is about quantity due to the number of compers but equally there are a lot more comps available than ever before.

I think the best thing to do is to be choosy about what and where you comp.

if you have a twitter account these are quick and easy to enter.

if you have a fb account loads on there too.

mse has a list of daily comps, monthly comps which is useful

but check local shops/papers for local comps as uptake is usually very low so better chance of winning.

also try when shopping looking at what you are buying lots of comps on products but always read t an c as some require you to keep the product lid/foil/stick, etc and receipt as proof of purchase

try blogs, a lot of bloggers run competitions.

also if youcan squeeze in an hour a day... maybe broken upto into 15 min chunks you may be able to find you can comp 50 a day easily :)

good luck and don't forget to let us know if you win.

Having a bit of trouble with Shop & Scan, the clicker wont work. It glows red when plugged into a PC but doesn't ever go green or transmit. I think its faulty but I'm not having much luck in getting it sorted :(

well done on house sale and good luck with second car. and well done on first car.

rushing this as supposed to be cleaning house and have done nothing!

so will be back later to properly post.

have you tried the usual aiming the clicker at a blank wall and scanning it? try it a few times, usually clears whatever the problem is then plug into pc and try transmitting. can you try another computer? have you tried uninstalling software and reinstalling?

Had intended to have an ebay listing day today but our car broke down yesterday (the fuel pump had gone ) so we decided that to have it repaired would be throwing good money after bad. So today we have been trailing round second hand car dealers. The good news is we have bought a picasso diesel. The bad news is it won't be ready until Tuesday and I was hoping to do a carboot sale tomorrow but a bit difficult with no car.
A bit more good news we are going to get £120 scrap value for the old car. I was amazed as last time we scrapped one about 10 years ago we had to pay £10 to have it taken away
    Jan £10 a day £326.75/£310
  • I've been busy relisting today decided to try selling stuff with free p&p hoping it will help increase sales. I was hoping to reach £100 by the weekend but not sold anything :(

I've setup a spreadsheet to estimate what profit I will make on items I've listed to make sure I make a minimum £1 per item won't be getting caught out again selling items for next to nothing when there worth a lot more.

It's exciting getting a new car Rosie bet you can wait till Tuesday at least you'll get chance to list items tomorrow.

Just one quick question, on the July board someone kindly mentioned a Confused.com app through Quidco that measured 250 miles of your driving and paid you £5 for it, I've logged the miles but can't see any recognition of it on Quidco yet. Does it automatically happen or do I have to do something else?

Mine hasn't tracked. Reading the reviews, it seems you have to claim through quidco after two weeks.
