If you are only having cabin bags then if you buy the stuff airside in boots it still has to fit into the cabin bag if they are doing their job properly so be aware that they may still take it of you.
That's not so
They allow a standard sized bag of airport shopping to be taken on-board too.0 -

As the OP was asking about Easyjet, they'll be fine0 -

i have been buying it while on offer as we have 2 fair skin (ginger) people so need factor 50, at the moment i have saved over £25 on sun cream
just phoned easyjet and paid £14 each way for 1 bag so that £28......so after my saving on suncream i only paid £3 for the bag!! but saved £30 as onthebeach wanted £58 for the same bag!0 -
Yes, that was probably the best way to do it, now you don't have to worry about buying small, more expensive sizes of any of your toiletries, you can just throw the lot in one bag and check it in, and hopefully have room for some goodies to bring back :TAccept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

It makes sense if it suits you
For me, the biggest annoyance when travelling though airports is the wait at the carousel, I rarely take hold luggage if I can help it.
I want to be out of that place and in a hire car or taxi as fast as possible
