Lurker, I agree with Kerri's view on the allocated budget.
Jaxmar, pleased to read you are not seriously injured after your fall.

Spendy days for the last few days, not massive amounts but still - 'Must Do Better'
Today I got some tickets for me and friends to see the comedian Russell Howard in a couple of weeks (it's a secret-ish warm-up gig for his national tour in 2014), in a room above a pub so a nice intimate atmosphere (venue holds about 100), for £10 a ticket:)'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'

I think the light at the end of the tunnel might well have been turned off
Builder didn't come today, turns out he had a hospital appt, and while I am totally sympathetic to this as it is serious, a) don't tell us you're coming round if you're not b) a wee text wouldn't go amiss.
Also, spoke to the guy who did the taps - he reckons he put the washers in the right place and they are supposed to go under the back nut beneath the sink - I still say they need to go between th tap and the sink on top to stop water getting between the two.
Any thoughts from anyone on that?10 NSD's I just fell down the stairs a bit battered and bruised but nothing broken I'am just glad no one was there to witness it
I met my daughter yesterday at Canterbury (she arrived back from Reading Festival) and a young 20 year old boy/man? said " your a m.i.w.l.t.f. I first thought did I hear that right? My daughter looked at me and said she was now scarred for life.
my reaction :eek:
::rotfl:
Glad you are ok from your tumble. Be careful xx Errr...not quite sure what to say on that, I know exactly what it means - errrmmmmm - congratulations? :eek::rotfl:
Today i've sanded, washed and primed / undercoated the bedroom and bathroom windows ready to paint (looks like the outside will need doing next year - guess who I'm NOT asking to do that). Also scraped and wiped round the pane edges once the primer had dried (yay for quick dry primer & undercoat in one), neatened those up without accidentally removing too much putty from the windows. Looks like my attention to detail is much better than whoever painted the outside though :eek: Would like to get them replaced with UPVC one day - not happening atm though.
Oh, NSD #9 captured ....I MIGHT even get to double figures this month :rotfl:Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Oh please don't mention him - me and OH had a massive 'debate' about whether he was suitable for our DN (14yrs in Oct) to watch when he was staying with us.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Budgeted spend on groceries today after my 12 mile cycle ride so no NSD for me. Building myself up after many years of the bike rusting away in the shed. I did manage to injure myself before I even got on the bike tonight....I fell getting it out of the garden. I am now sporting a graze on my shin the like of which I haven't had since I was about 10 years old :eek:
Hoping to hit target tomorrow :ASPC Member #112 :A Save £2k in 2014 # 160 :money:0
