Thanks Beanie and Marmite.
My health issues are chronic fatigue amongst other things (not ME luckily) so anything too energetic is out. I use public transport for which I'm lucky enough to have a free pass.
Some days I'm not well enough to do anything, but on the days I am all the things I can think of doing (meeting up with friends, cinema etc) cost money!
I'm starting to think that it might be a better idea for me to just try and stick to a weekly budget rather than set myself NSD targets.Life is what happens to you when you're busy making other plans - John LennonBe yourself. Everyone else is taken.0 -

How about thinking of some things to do that don't cost money, like a picnic with friends, a DVD night with friends (take it in turns to host) - you can get microwave popcorn in most pound / 99p shops, dinner round at friends / your house - have everyone bring a dish, similarly a spa evening at home - great way to use up samples and toiletries you have hanging about.
you can also make up your own rules in this challenge and adapt for what works for you - perhaps your rules means if it's within the allocated budget, then it still counts as a NSD. I don't count spends on milk, petrol or budgeted bills. Some don't count groceries as they have that separately budgeted for.
This challenge isn't so much about the final number, but the thought process we employ behind spends. Sometimes we don't make target as life just gets in the way (or you fall off the wagon in spectacular fashion like me this month :rotfl:) but if it helps you think about why / how you spend, then that's a success xFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Lurker I have fatigue issues too, so understand problems with having NSDs and having a life.
A picnic if the weather is good is fun. But not if you need to carry food and drink with you.
We have friends round for meals and everyone brings something or makes something. It makes for great memories too.
When the Big Lunch was being promoted all over the UK a couple of years ago we had a 'Little Lunch' where friends brought their own contribution or not if they weren't able to. There were only a few of us but it saved us the £15 a head being charged to take part in our village hall.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Well the plumbing sagas continue - turns out that the guy who fitted them put the washer UNDER the sink, not under the tap - so water is now getting under the taps there's nothing to stop it - on ALL 4 basin taps  He'll have to come back and fix that, oh and wall is supposed to be being finished tomorrow - oh should it be this wall :wall:
Windows washed down with mould killer ready for me to sand tomorrow. Have washed the floors and did put everything back tidy in the downstairs WC...which will now need to be moved again for the taps to be fixed.
Downstairs lighting still drying out, so whipped up a chilli earlier for dinner, and now have a honeyed nectarine and plum crumble (might call it peach and plum, sounds better) in the oven which I managed to prepare by the skin of my teeth before the light really went.
Feeling a bit bleugh from all this now, just want things done - no actually, its the having to have things re-done that's getting to me.
However, I can declare NSD #8Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
