Kerri, it really grates me when you wait in specially for a delivery or workmen and they don't turn up. I hope you get it sorted.

Well not a peep from them so far, hoping they will be able to do it this weekend - it's folks OH knows so I'm letting him sort it out.

Freeby - blackberries that are ready are in the main quite small still, but bushes look like they will have a lot more to come. so far frozen 3 x 300g tubs, and 160g in a tray. Couldn't beleive how quick the plums at PYO came on, two weeks ago they were green and rock hard, last Fri the trees were literally groaning with ripe plums with lots already fallen.

On that subject - honeyed plum crumble was a success, added 200g of blackberries to it (kind of a mix of two recipes) as I was worried it would be a little sweet without. It was yummy :D

Red - hope donkey training went well. Day off for me today as boot camp sarg was on her way back from V-festival. Must be something in the air as I had a variation on Spanish chicken tonight too. Roasted some courgette & red pepper with rosemary, olive oil and garlic, then chucked in a tin of toms and after a little cook added two drumsticks and thighs that were already roasted (removed from freezer the other night). All accompanied with more par-roast jersey royals (also freezer fayre)

No NSD here, posted a new home card to my friend in Oz, picked up a couple of bits for OH, and some glass glue where OH managed to separate my chinese glass dragon (hand blown by some wizened old man in a Taiwan night market) from one of its feet  and also needed lunch, but instead of a posh sarnie, I bought a french stick and some ham slices to make what I'd spent stretch further :A

Can feel the evenings getting decidedly cooler in the evenings now, and dark here too. Baton down the hatches, autumn is not far away.
