The person who's house it was had some mate's over I'd never seen before
Anyway the next day she rang up and said "xxxxx took a shine to you and asked for your number"
Obviously Im not going to give my number but should I tell my OH about it? Or would it be opening a whole can of worms?
maybe you should consider it!

^^^^ oh on second thoughts maybe your mate / family member is doing you a favour? Maybe she was letting you know there are other people out there who are worth it?The most potent weapon of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed. Steve Biko0

In what context was it said
'x took a shine to you and asked for your number'
as in hope I've just passed on a compliment and that you're flattered and nothing more or as in
'so can I pass your number on so you can cheat on your oh'0 -
Id say nothing. And has already been said, perhaps your family member thinks that your OH isnt good enough for you. Either way its no big deal, someone took a shine to you, you arent interested, not really the biggest deal in the world, far different from you wanting to go out with the guy.0

Yes, I would tell my OH, if only to explain why I wouldn't be visiting this particular family member's home again.the person who told you shouldnt have bothered to tell you.
Very strange behaviour from your 'family member'. Was it a teenage cousin or something? If this is someone you've previously considered sensible and grown up then I'd be giving them a wide berth. I'd tell your OH (and quickly otherwise he'll be wondering why you've waited) and be highly indignant that she passed it on and didn't just give him a flea in his ear on your behalf.0 -
Tell your OH and get the lovely individual around for some group play time! You're only alive once (no offense meant too the religious types!)0

And what about the non-religious types?
This is one of the most ridiculous responses to an OP I have ever seen... mind you looking at some of your replies on other threads I'm not entirely sure the lift goes to the top floor.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Hello Valli, nice to be weclomed to the club! I apologise if a subtle crack about reincarnation is beyond you, but your confusion doesnt need to spill out as animosity on the thread. If you don't like a difference of opinion then let it be, starlight!

I would be irate with the family member. I must say.0

Take the number if you liked them and are looking for a change or for a better offer.
You only live once, life is too short to be getting tied down to one person. Theres nothing wrong with seeing a few people if thats what you like.0
