Would you tell your OH?

Me and my OH were at a get-together round a family member's house on Saturday night

The person who's house it was had some mate's over I'd never seen before

Anyway the next day she rang up and said "xxxxx took a shine to you and asked for your number"

Obviously Im not going to give my number but should I tell my OH about it? Or would it be opening a whole can of worms?

I would. We'd have good giggle about it and that would be the end of it. I don't see that there is any can of worms to open.

You have a family member who's prepared to act as someone else's pimp when everyone knows you're in a relationship? Unbelievable!

Yes, I would tell my OH, if only to explain why I wouldn't be visiting this particular family member's home again.

I bet she was on the toilet when she called you.

    Disgusting.

Didnt think of it like that to be honest! Hmmm interesting
  • I would tell my OH too and just make a bit of a joke of it. Knowing my OH though he'd probably say they're welcome to have me!

I don't think it would open a can of worms especially as it sounds like you've done nothing to encourage the other person.

Yes, I didnt even speak to him to be honest. Just Hi and Bye
  • I would tell him as otherwise it may get back to him from a family member and it may then look like you are hiding something.
You have no reason not to mention it to him. Maybe mention it in a jokey way so its all light hearted to avoid any tension between your OH and this other person.

I agree with this. It's really not a big deal.

I would definitely tell him, though. Partly because we'd find it funny, but mostly because it has the potential to get back to him anyway. It would look much worse if I'd not said anything!

Thank you, yes thats what I was thinking, imagine if he found out from someone else
  • I definately think honesty is the best policy.

Out of interest, this family member were they your side or your OH's side?

The only potential issue going forward would be maybe your OH won't feel comfortable around this family member if they are happy to interfer with your relationship.
