Hi all.
Mr LW is wfh today, so all is chaos in the Wolf's Lair, as he likes his dins at noon when he's here. So I've made lasagne and cherry & coconut cake (the latter for his lunch box as the cake tin is empty) and the BM is on doing a loaf.:o
NAR it sounds like your having a fun game of Financial Tetris this week.:D
Redruby GWS wishes for DD; that sounds uncommon painful; pleurisy-stay-away vibes, too.:o
While I'm on healing vibes, here's some more for Hester too.:o
Butterfly honey, please take care; no more falls, eh?:o (says she who has a bad case of the Dropsies as we call it today – keep dropping things). Oh, and I suspect your DS wouldn't last 5 minutes with me, I'm a bit OCD about washing up being left lying around. I read your list of the carp in his room out to Mr LW, and his response was that there was more there than we actually own!!:rotfl:
Gintot helpful URL for you http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/home/pubs/find/_/_/20/_/just-opened,coming-soon/1000#hide-search-options
Just type Cornwall into the search box on the right, and you'll get a list of Spoons pubs. HTH.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Afternoon all!
Have been to MIL's and removed a shelf for the new fridge freezer, and fixed the carpet in her dining room, brought DS back home, been to mums to see her and my brother, and am briefly home to see what I need at the shops. WM seems to have been on all day as they are still working on the water pipes a few streets away so the water pressure is awful. Won't get it all done at this rate but couldn't bear the smell of DS's dirty socks any longer!!!
Hope you found the skating rink Dumpling!
Have a good day all.RIP Iain

Something with mince tonight, was considering stuffed corrgettes, but that reminds me too much of being a kid and being force fed stuffed marrow - think it was stuffed with boiled socks...... :eek:Shudderrrrrrr.... Think I might do a chilli
Cats had their jabs yesterday, not too keen they came out of their boxes like Edward Scissor hands, then purred their sorry,s to vet - slept like babies all night

Afternoon all,
really not motivated at all at work today, strange as I love my job! And usually find myself doing extra bits at work but just can't wait to leave today!
Went to the bank over lunch and closed two savings accounts as they were with Lloyds and as I've moved to Halifax I've emptied them in to the 'clear the overdraft' pot so I can be shut of that bank all together!
Lots of boring bits to do at home tonight. Left over spag bol and garlic bread for tea so just need to cook some pasta and bing the garlic bread for a few mins (and heat the sauce obviously.
Also got a pile of clean laundry to work through and more paperwork to sort than I ever thought possible! Hoping to be able to bin loads of it if I'm honest (securely obviously). I also have to do some stuff on Twitter for work between 8 and 9pm. so happy about that...not!************************************

- of course, we should have had Mary-Fairy-Fuzzy-Butt with us now, but sadly she had an appointment over the Rainbow Bridge.:(
OK, Cherry and coconut cake, as follows:
6 oz sunflower marg
6 oz sugar
2 eggs
6 oz glace cherries, quartered and coated in flour (stops them sinking to the bottom of the cake, according to Mr LW's grandma);)
4 oz desecratedcoconut
SR flour - sufficient to get a "proper" cake-mix consistency - I don't know how much, I just add til the consistency seems right, iyswim.:o
Cream sugar and marg together, beat in eggs, mix in coconut and cherries, mix in flour.
Bung mix into a 7" tin, greased and lined, bake at 180 C for 1 hour.
I took the recipe from the RD Cookery Year, totally ignored most of what it said and made up my own preferred version.:rotfl:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Will be adding that to my 'bake-me' file LW
And i,m sure that Mary-fairy will make herself known to you, I,m sure she is too much of a lady to miss her time with you x
I,ve lost 3 furbabies this year, and I,m sure they still 'pop in',found Baxters (ex ancient westie) fav love bunny the other day, its been missing for over a year - very strange it just turning upNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!
