How much sleep do you get?

I spend all day at work looking forward to the moment I can get into bed, and come the evening I wake up a bit and end up wanting to push my luck about how late I go to bed. Generally speaking I hit the sack between 11- and 1 am but I then wake up a bit tired and peed off with myself for not going to bed earlier.... only to do the whole thing all over again.

So I was just wondering, what's your bed time and is it enough shut eye?
Some times you have to hold back to go forward to where you want to be.

We go to bed around half 11 but it's usually midnight before we get to sleep after checking emails/Facebook and the alarm goes off at 6.15! Ugh! Every morning we say we need an early night but it never happens!

Not enough at all. I suffer from insomnia occasionally and the last two weeks have been the worst it has ever been, it was 3am last time I looked at the clock last night and I was up at 6am. I am dangerously tired just now but just can't switch off.
  • I usually get up at 5:30am for work so like to be in bed by 10pm and typically spend about half hour reading so fall asleep around 10:30pm.

On non-work nights however I go to bed around 11pm, maybe midnight if something's on tv etc, and wake up between 8 and 9am. I'm pretty rubbish at staying up past midnight (I get grumpy and the next day I'm exhausted).

Somewhere between 1 am and 3am and usually up between 10 and 11am unless I have to be somewhere or am working an early shift. I don't get in from work until 10.45pm usually and then by the time I've been on the excercise bike and had a shower it's gone midnight and then I go online for a bit. I can easily sleep for 10-11 hours given the opportunity though!

Not enough. I blame it on loitering in this place till the wee small hours, as opposed to pre-laptop days when I used to take to my bed with a good book.
Or watching sh!te tv till late because it's too much effort to get my backside off the chair and up to bed.

This sounds like me :rotfl: I'm better if I can get to sleep about 11 but its usually nearer 12/1230. And I always regret it the next morning.

Goodness. I thought everyone else was in bed when I was still up during the small hours.

No matter what time I go to bed, the max I sleep is 1am - 5am, even at weekends. On a bad night I don't sleep at all, but I can only do that for 2 nights before I crash and go back to the 4-hour slot. Years of an overactive thyroid have ruined my sleeping pattern for life, I think, even though the thyroid is now sorted.

  • I go to bed between midnight and 1 am. Alarm goes off at 6 am. I always look forward to a lie in at weekends but even without my alarm I wake before 6 am, fancy a coffee and once I'm up I can't go back.

I go to bed around 3AM, that's when I start feeling tired. Yet I still manage to get up at 7.30AM feeling fresh. ;)
