O2 misinformation in store

I have an iPhone (on an Orange contract) and an iPad WiFi. (Actually I've got an iPhone 3 on O2 PAYG as well.)
I manage their apps, etc. from one iTunes installation (on Windows).
I choose which apps I want to put on each, and they do not have the same apps on each.
There are some apps which are iPad specific, so they wouldn't work on the iPhone.0 -
Please explain, how having a target of selling thirty contracts makes a salesman more likely to sell one handset rather than another?
If he doesn't have the iPhone in stock but has a box full of Samsung's in the stock room it's fairly likely he will push the sale of what's in stock to add another sale towards his target.====0
