Yes, because it has just asked me if I would like to reinstall it.0 -
I went to Control Panel>User Accounts>Turn User Account Control On or Off and I turned it off and then I rebooted the laptop. Now I can log into the bank, view the seating area for the tickets but I cannot download the information leaflets. I guess 2 out of 3 aint bad!!
Is it safe to turn this off as there is a red circle with a white cross at the bottom of the screen which states "Windows Security Alerts"?0 -

This laptop is set up that I am the administrator. Do I need to download Java in a different user account so then I can turn user account control on again? (BTW I didn't think I could download in any other account than the adminstrator's account)0 -
I don't have Java installed I deleted it.
I have no problems logging into bank accounts or viewing seating plans.
Infact I have not noticed any problems since i deleted it viewing sites0 -
Perhaps UAC was set too high. You should be able to turn UAC back up to the third notch now, without affecting the working of Java.0
