Can anyone help me to get Java to work on my laptop? I have installed the online version and when it didn't work I went through what they recommended but it still didn't work. One of their recommendations was to download and install the offline version which I did but it does not work either. Jave has not worked on this laptop fo a long time but I really need it to work.

In what way doesn't it work exactly?
When I went to book tickets I cannot view the seating plan because of Java, when I attempt to log into my bank account the site does not show the log in screen because of Java, when I was in a website and I attempted to download information leaflets I couldn't because of Java, the list goes on.
Btw all these sites are working fine on hubby's laptop.0 -

The screen shows "

A security prompt may appear. Click Run to allow the verification process to continue.
Depending on your system settings, you may need to respond to prompts to allow the verification to continue.
If you have installed Java and there is an error with the verification, there could be a configuration issue (eg. browser, Java control panel, security settings).
» See the troubleshooting FAQIf you recently completed your Java software installation, you may need to restart your browser (close all browser windows and re-open) before verifying your installation.", followed by a pop up "The page you are viewing uses Java. More information on Java support is available from the Microsoftwebsite." Then there are two options “MoreInfo” which does not load anything or “Ok”.

Just after getting this message

Ensure Java is enabled.

All that is done and it hasn't made any difference this time either.0
