Virgin Media Overcharging!

Hello there,

I've been with Virgin Media since March 2012 who provide my TV, Phone & Broadband. I went with the XL TV package, Talk Unlimited and 50mb broadband agreeing to pay £105 per month under the assumption that my bill would never exceed this amount. The installation charges came to £80.

Since I joined the lowest bill I received was £120 and the highest a ridiculous £205, not a single bill coming to £105? The charges for no apparent reason, varied massively every month.

In the 16 months I've been with them I should have been charged around £1700 in total. I have been charged £2600, about an extra £50 a month.

I'm pretty annoyed as you would imagine and just wondering if anyone knows what I can do about this? Help/Advice would be much appreciated!

Thanks

The mother of all ***** ups

I know little about their price plans but it does state quite clearly (to me at least) that 0845 & mobile numbers are not included. I'm guessing that could be your problem

So what was the breakdown of the bill? its all online just look it up & see!
  • There's no chance that any calls to mobiles I've made should cost me the excess amounts they've been charging, it just doesn't add up

i assume you havn't been watching any films on demand ?
the only other thing it could be would be call charges.

theres no extra costs with the broadband.

Best to check a breakdown of the bill, it should tell you everything you are getting charged for

Variations like this are ALWAYS call charges or ppv, why are people surprised?

You need to check your bills and change to a cheaper package for the calls you make or change to a provider that will give you those calls cheaper.

This is how they make their money OP. You HAVE to stay on top of your bill at all times.
