Wouldn't have thought so, it would be a pretty dumb scam that let the mug punters get their money back

Won't cost you anything to try though but if I was them I'd be arguing that DSR doesn't apply as the form is customised for you and the contract is complete.

You agreed to the terms and conditions of the website when you applied for the licence. You did read those terms and conditions didn't you? The same terms which very clearly states what charges apply.

Doesn't help this time, but if you use Firefox browser you can install adblocker plus and it will remove ALL the paid adverts like this from google.

There may well be similar add-ons for other browsers.

.uk.com isnt even a real domain extension. i never visit websites with that.

its actually a subdomain of https://www.uk.com - they are posing as a registrar. compete scam you have no protection from nominet. if uk.com goes bust your "domain" is gone forever

I don't think you understand, uk.com may techinally be a subdomain of .com, but .uk.com are real domains sold by CentralNIC. When you buy one the dns zone gets added to the root of .uk.com meaning you have complete control over it like any other domain. Plenty of legit companies use them.

.co.uk, .org.uk are technically just subdomains of .uk if you want to put it like that. (and that was before they started selling .uk on it's own.)

I don't know if it's too late, or whether the 14 day cooling off period even applies to this sort of con, but just thought I'd mention it.
