Anyone used www.drvinglicence.uk.com?

Options
Has anyone used this website to obtain their provisional licence please? I used this site a few weeks ago for my teenager as they turn 17 in august. We paid £50 for the licence. But in the post on Saturday we received the form in the post for them to sign and return to the DVLA but they are asking for another £50 to be posted to the DVLA but ive already paid the £50. Is this the correct site to apply online for your licence?
Regards

You clicked on the paid advert, not on the correct site.

We've seen half dozen of these posts in the last few months.

  • Can we take this to the police? Can I claim my money back from cc company?

I don't know, you can try......

Report it to BBC watchdog, I already have. If enough people do, they'll report on it and hopefully word will spread.

    The correct site is www.gov.uk

  • Unfortuantely, you've not paid the DVLA. You've paid this company £50 to provide and fill in a form for you, which you could have picked up from a post office.

Now you will need to pay the actual DVLA fee.

    https://www.gov.uk/browse/driving/driving-licences is the official site.
  • What do I do as they have all personal information

It's paid ads, the colour difference gives it away, but people are often in too much of a rush to check.

  • Although what they do could be considered questionable, I am not sure that they are commiting a crime as it does state on their site:
We are not affiliated with DVLA, the UK government or any official body. The checking service we provide can be obtained from a DVLA office directly at a reduced fee or you can apply without a checking service where there will be no checking fee payable.

A lot of scams aren't actually illegal.
