And the most pointless post ever goes to...

And misses the point of my original statement about prices not being displayed accurately.

Unlikely to apply in this case. See 5(2)(b).

True but I did waste time considering it as one to buy. If the correct price had been displayed, I would have walked straight out of the shop.

I was in an Asda home store today so did have a look but it was out of stock and also appeared to only be available to use with an Asda SIM card. I have just looked at the link above and it does appear to be unlocked but is it? It doesn't actually say unlocked?
I am new to smartphones. On 3 occasions I have thought that i have found what I wanted but then discovered a drawback. I currently have a Virgin SIM only contract and want to get an unlocked phone so I am not tied to Virgin if i decide to leave later.

SIM free almost always means the phone is unlocked, at least in this country. If you buy online and find that it is locked, you could just return it for a refund.

    Agree with Orrin. :)

Further, one reviewer of the non mini white S3 said (on the asda direct site) :

"Good product. Reasonable price of this Sim-free, contract-free unlocked Samsung phone. I can use any almost sim card in anywhere of the world. Good for travellers."

Both full size and mini state Network: SIM free in specifications.

CPW show Samsung S3 Sim Free for £287.95. Pay as you go it is £419.95. Am I missing something?

I was implying that as well.

If there is no certain colour/varient stated on the billboard and ALL colours are shown under the price then that's very misleading.

Sim free will be direct from Samsung and PAYG will be supplied from the network

I am not sure which comparison you are making. Is it between the 2 very different pay as you go prices or between the S3 and the S3 mini?
Your link gives the S3 mini price as £259 and that is the same price as i saw in the shop but then i was told that the blue surround one was about £40 more. I don't know if the full size one is available with a blue surround.

No they should have it on the billboard that it costs extra

Today I did a dummy order on the CPW site. It displayed all 3 colours as costing £259 but whichever I then selected and proceeded to the next screen to pay for, it then changed the price to £289. It appears that they may have an error somewhere.
However I will now probably order from Asda or Amazon which both have prices just under £200
