    Grrrrr just lost my post! What is wrong with the forums today :(

    Sorry Rich was replying to you...yep I was out of breath and red in the face which doesnt happen to me very often since I'm lazy and like to run below my peak most of the time :)

    I like hills though because they replicate speed work but in your usual rhythm, so you dont have to get into an unusual stride pattern for the run...

    Lazy is good - all the best runners describe themselves as lazy!

    Yep, you're right the hill work generates leg speed to help when you do get to striding out on the flat.
