Top post Rich, very useful to know!

More importantly, this is why you need to be getting as many of these mitochondria as you can and making each individual one as large as possible.

Then you've got bigger pouches to stuff with energy for your half marathon!
    Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

  • Well, what a fascinating morning - its hard to keep up with whether the banking system has collapsed or whether it hanging on by its fingertips to some semblance of life.

HBOS dead and buried at 9-30, merging with LloydsTSB at 10-00. AIG collapsed overnight, rescued by American Govt at last minute.

I hope nobodys got shares in the big banks - its white knuckle stuff today!

Totally off topic but fascinating nonetheless!

Yes, I can say sitting on the "inside" that there's little talk of anything else in the city at the moment. It is fascinating (to me!). I've got no shares at all... Except for my pension fund  thankfully that's got some 30 (or more!) years to recover!

i know a few friends who are ex HBOS, and they have been seeing their sharesave dwindle for months now... i can only imagine how they are feeling today.....

however at the end of the day, they didn't actually buy the shares, they were bonus type things i think, i feel more for actual investors....

if was smart enough to understand this kinda thing, but i'm not!

The thing is none of it is what it seems, thats blatantly obvious.

There are a lot of spivs playing games here. HBOS has been +20% and -52% today. Just as it was about to go under a merger proposal appears (I wonder how). Funny how it is a merger that probably wouldn't be allowed under 'normal' circumstances.

There are people taking advantage methinks knowing they've got Gordon Brown by the short and curlies.

I can also imagine a lot of hedge funds (and others) going short on these stocks while talking up the danger of it all. Spivs playing games is what the city is all about, even in good times!
