You can use any fruit you've got , Sally. It's a good way of using up fruit nearing it's end in the fruit bowl;) ( don't tell my family that's what happens to wizened apples:rotfl: )And I've used frozen without thawing it first, but that obviously depends on what the fruit is:Dis it ok to use any fruit, or is it best just with tinned fruit?

I'd never heard of a cobbler, I will have to make one now!0

I've done it with all kinds of fruit and even used raisins when I didn't have any fruit handy. Generally the wetter the fruit the sloppier the topping and the drier the fruit the spongier it is.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

Sounds yummy!!
I'll try it tomorrow night with some tinned rhubard, I think.
I'd also like to try it with pineapple, but kids prefer rhubard!

I've been thinking of making this for ages now and it has just occurred to me that it would probably be perfect with the (very, very) reduced raspberries I got that have been in the freezer. Would I put some apples in too? Would I have to defrost them first? I don't think I could do raspberries on their own, I'm not a berry girl really.0
