Hello, thought I'd join this thread as I'm getting married on 23rd May! I'm just wondering when you're all planning on sending out the invitations? Ours will be a very small ceremony at the register office. It's in the smaller room on a Friday in order to save money. Only 12 guests can fit in the room which is absolutely fine by us as we have virtually no family between us. Our friends live in all parts of the country, consequently there will be some who won't be able to make it I'm sure. Therefore we need to know who can't make it fairly early on, in order to have others lined up to invite! We will be having a small buffet in the evening so more friends & work colleagues will be able to make it then.

I've seen some vintage invites which I like on Ebay and may order them soon to send with some Christmas cards. We have already invited most people by phone but it's easy for them to say yes they will come, and maybe change their mind much closer to the date. I suppose we could invite others to the evening only and then ask if they want to come to the ceremony as well, if some others drop out.

What are your thoughts about how soon to send out invites?

I'm sending my 'save the dates' out first week in January, with the main invitations going out the last week in March..
Our wedding is on May 3rd which doesn't feel that far away now!!

We're planning on sending invites out with christmas cards, saves on postage costs!!

Our save the dates should have gone out last week (H2B is being rubbish at getting addresses for his family)....hopefully we'll get them out soon!

We should be getting married in May next year. Deposit will be paid at the end of November so hopefully we still get to!

I have worked out we can actually afford the deposit this payday. This is important to us so we can forgo nights out to get this booked.

Then I need to sort out all the legal bits, and start dieting. Anything else can wait!
