I could ask son to try the facebook thing, not sure if the club is on there but worth a shot maybe but then am thinking if the police do spot checks which they do and son is without i.d then it's not worth the hassle!Kate

I remember when a friend of mine was 18, but had lost his ID when everyone was going out, he messaged the venue on facebook beforehand and somehow arranged to get in with his birth certificate, student card (had his picture and name on) and debit card, because they'd also seen the name he goes by on facebook as well obviously. Plus they were a very understanding place. Could your son try this maybe?
Or just borrow the driving license of a friend who looks vaguely similar and then the friend uses their passport? Used to get away with this all the time 3 years ago when I was underage! As long as you memorise the details, a lot of places don't tend to look too closely at the actual pictures.
Hmmmm, this may be worth a try. (bolded) Well done Rachel. Maybe your son could consider this Kate?0 -
I'm going to get him to look when he gets back from my parents!

I was going to suggest trying his birth certificate. Hope something comes up for him...Mortgage when started: £330,995

Well he's decided not to go, he said it's not worth the risk of not having proper photo ID so he'll just celebrate with his friends another time! I'm still very angry and sad about it even though I know there's nothing I can do! Another lesson learnt the hard way!Kate

Could he take his birth certificate and a bank card? What about a driving license?0
