I will check with my Mum, Lou67, but I am pretty sure it is the pass ID they have stopped accepting. I'll come back to you all about it. I don't want Mum getting in trouble for a policy her store have put in place!

Thanks, it is a PASS, just hope it turns up soon as he has another party to go to next weekend, waste of the extra £10 for super fast service but hey ho will just have to rant and rave at verifier...even though I know I won't, I'll just seethe quietly! :o

Don't seethe quietly, say something and mention how it had cost extra to get it through quickly which is now wasted. If the verifer has a heart he will pay the extra £10!

Oh no, if your mom works there, it's best to not rock the boat. But they really shouldn't refuse the PASS accredited thing :)

it's not been done due to them not being able to get hold of the verifier of his photos/documents, although his wife has passed on the message for him to get in touch but still nothing!

Are there any circumstances you are unaware of as to why the verifier has not been able to get in touch yet? Seems odd that someone who has agreed to do this, and whom you have helped many times, would then cause delay on purpose by not being available to confirm details.

He has nothing else to use as i.d sadly, I doubt the verifier has a heart, he won't care at all that he's left son out of pocket, I didn't want to use him as a verifier anyway but couldn't get anyone else, should have known it wouldn't go smoothly really!

He likes to do things his way and in his own time, hence why I didn't want to use him in the first place but I thought do him a few favours with his computer to sweeten him up but that's just thrown back in my face now!

That is a shame, some folk do cut off their nose to spite their face. There you are helping him out as and when, and he responds by being bl00dy minded. How not to win friends and influence people hey! Such a pity that your son misses out on a celebration too.

Oh I am going to be very busy the next time he wants something or maybe I'll say I'll do it in my own time! Just feel so very bad for my son, he's saying it doesn't matter etc but I can tell he is very disappointed and I feel it's part my fault for getting such a stupid verifier!! :(

I remember when a friend of mine was 18, but had lost his ID when everyone was going out, he messaged the venue on facebook beforehand and somehow arranged to get in with his birth certificate, student card (had his picture and name on) and debit card, because they'd also seen the name he goes by on facebook as well obviously. Plus they were a very understanding place. Could your son try this maybe?

Or just borrow the driving license of a friend who looks vaguely similar and then the friend uses their passport? Used to get away with this all the time 3 years ago when I was underage! As long as you memorise the details, a lot of places don't tend to look too closely at the actual pictures.
